Not to snack while I cook!
I am the primary cook for my entire family, I do about 4 dinner meals in a day (healthy ones for me that the family turn their noses up at, one "kiddy" meal for my little boy, still healthy
yay! one for my parents, one for my ever fussy and picky sister) lunch for my son and I, and morning and afternoon tea, sometimes dessert, or cakey things and I bake bread each morning. Well! With all this cooking (usually about 2-1/2 hours spread ou through the day, in total) I realised yesterday exactly how much I eat while I am cooking. I have to taste everything. I season it, I taste it again. Then add another ingredient, taste it again. I nibble on leftover ingredients (like too much cheese or raisins) I check to see that everyone would like how it tastes, and if I get a little pudding or batter on my finger...... I cant resist! ...... I think in a day, this would probably add up to another entire meal
..... so I have bought some sugarfree chewy, and will try to just drink water and chew while I cook, or eat fruit.
So! That's my pledge, NO MORE PICKING!!!
