Tonight

Postby SarahC » Tue Nov 14, 2006 3:51 am

I have been slipping back into old habits quite badly this past few weeks - eating quite a bit after dinner, late at night, and during the night

So, my pledge for tonight is to have a reasonable dinner, and leave it at that. And if I wake up during the night, I will just have a glass of water, and maybe some veggie sticks (I even have them cut up already)

My major bad habit is potato chips. I could sit there and eat a whole big massive bag no problem while watching Dr. Phil.
Last night, I cooked a healthy dinner (fish and roast veges) and I felt like a treat so I had a milky way (as its chocolate, but it only has about 75 calories). But what does my husband do? He sits there next to me with a bowl of potato chips!??? I couldn't resist! I had a few handfuls and told myself NO NO NO! And I gave them away. I am upset that I gave in but happy that I stopped eating them.
My pledge today? No potato chips!!

Thanks for the encouragements guys :D So far so good. I just unpacked a giant order from the online health shop... it contains like 12 extreemely delicious chocolatey protein bars (becoming a major weakness, and they're so expensive!). I have them stashed up on the top shelf of the pantry where I can't reach them. I am determined that is where they will stay! Just have to try and forget about them.

I'm dying to go to sleep tonight so the less time I spend eating, the quicker I can get to bed  Giant glass of water is poured and vegie sticks in the fridge (Sorry Mandie you don't want any of my vegies... I have a big bag of mouldy beans, and some celery which is brown and I'm scared to eat  Luckily I went shopping on the weekend  )

Good luck with your pledge too Kylie, and well done on just eating a couple then leaving them - great work!

Which protein bars are you buying Sarah? I have tried Musashi P40 and the Well, Naturally chewy caramel ones. I usually only have them if I am pressed or forgot a meal and want a good protein boost. I don't find either of them tasty enough that I would want to munch on them regularly though.

Well it went alright... I had to have a little bit of icecream though after I had a shower. I was so hot (I always make the shower too hot!) and needed to gather some energy to get my hair dry... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

It could have been FAR worse, so I'm reasonably pleased. I'm aiming to improve on that again tonight.

Re protein bars... I have just scoffed an Aussie Bodies Protein Delight bar (complete comfort eating I was not hungry  ). They are extremely chocolatey. And I also get the chocolate HPLC bars. They're far cheaper online at Complete Health :D
