There's no shame in any of this guys, your return to the task is highly commendable!!! Good on you both for facing up to your lapses and being accountable (and true to yourselves) that takes strength and courage, and you should stand tall!!! :D
You've both done it before and there's no doubt you can and WILL DO IT again!!!

Atta boy JP!!!

The most important part of this, aside from the renewed vow to restart a healthier lifestyle, is forgiveness. Whatever you do, make sure you put the bad feelings behind you; okay so you've had a slip up (or two) pffft  .....life happens, don't beat yourself up!!

You may be wondering why I say this, but trust me, the sooner you can let go of the negative feelings (guilt, shame etc) the sooner you can move forward. Remember, setbacks aren't a sign of failure or weakness, there a sign that something else is at play (pressures at work, in our relationships, all sorts of things) and we've taken solace in food, which albeit not the best way to manage things, it's (for many overweight people) a long and well regarded ol' chum!!

I'm no expert by any means, but (just my opinion here) for what it's worth (feel free to disregard part, or all of it). This is what I'd do......

1. Ditch the negativity......so you've had a setback; binged a little...hopefully you've had your fill (of junk) enjoyed it, regretted it, and now time it's to move on. You're soooooooo worth much more than any self pity or bad feelings; time to feel good about yourself again and the only way to do that is to refocus and reaffirm with positive thoughts, as well as making the changes to your routine.

2. Don't try to pick up where you left off....at your lowest you may have walked an hour a day, but after a break, you need to resume the routine at a slower pace. Don't try to jump back into the spot where you stopped. It can be too daunting, and you risk becoming disillusioned. Small steps, ease your way back!! Instead of committing to walking for an hour, make it that every time you find yourself feeling the need to reach for something unhealthy, you grab your runners instead. Before you know it, you'll be doing a lot more walking without even realising it!!!

3. Visit the forum and post often....it helps you refocus, and having to type the words into the post actually reinforces what you're trying to do. And the more you do that, the more likely you are to stay focussed and get the job done!!! Besides, the more you post, the more we get to enjoy hearing about planet JP!!!

YOU CAN DO THIS JP!!! You've done it before, and you most certainly WILL AGAIN!!! :D

Awesome stuff JP :D

I had a terrible day 1 due to lack of planning. Nipped that in the butt for today and hit my first bootcamp session. My eating has been spot on, 3L of water already drunk for today and am seriously detoxing from the sugar, yep that little reminder called the detox headache has hit. But all A OK. I am speaking constantly with my weight loss coach throughout the day, to help me get through the day 1 so to speak all over again. Jumped on the scales this morning and crept back up to 148.0kgs on the dot. Ouch ... Don't want to see this number again.

Am pumped to be doing this with you mate, the next 8 weeks need to be very afraid :)

Now about that losing a JP  - we almost did it back in July but by my latest calcs it seems to suggest we have quite a task in the next month or so.. 85.2 Kgs vs 100.1 Kgs as of my this morning's weights..

I'm trying to figure out a reasonable target weight to aim for here and I reckon we can crack it between JP weighing 93-94 Kgs, thats a 6/7 Kgs loss from here for me and a 8/9 Kg loss for you..

This has got to be the absolute minimum target we aim for over the 8 weeks but lets try to knock it off in (say) six weeks? Mon 24th Nov, you up for it? 8)

We are all here for you guys. 8)

Josie's post above is great advice and worth the consideration.

Both your goals are very reasonable and achievable.
Just remember to work start steady and sure - and build up to full speed as the knack returns.

You are both dab hands at this weight loss thing and know all the things that need to be done (and have the skills to do it!).
As you know the real battle for success is the head.
Make weight loss a magnificent obsession and nothing will stop you from final success! :D

Go grab that better future!

Was: 153.7kg

Day 2 done without any mishaps and exercised another hour on my walk, was tempted to go buy bread, damn those rustic olive sticks are great from Woolies! But resisted the temptation as I know this has been my single biggest killer over the past six weeks..

Nailed Day 2. 1 slight variation ... 1 small snake. Atleast it wasnt a handful. The sucker hit me with reflux straight away so wont be going there again. Suffering with sugar cravings and detoxing hard as at the moment. Have my chromium tablets at hand and have started day 3 off with a bang. Will try to get off to the gym tonight as I just couldn't move from yesterdays boot camp, but may hold off and do a Saturday morning session instead so that Ive worked my way up to 3 sessions for the week at 2nd day intervals ( I have boot camp again tomorrow morning ).

Eating is good, mindset is moving along and working on losing that illustrious JP

I hear you mate.
I am completely burning at the moment. I can barely move from yesterday's boot camp. Need to rest as I have boot camp again at 5am tomorrow. Need to get my body used to moving again and working out. Love me a good boxing session first thing in the morning lol

Watch out evil twin ... I'm coming to get ya ;)
