And into Day 2 now after a good day 1 for me including back into my hour walk..
Atta boy JP!!!
The most important part of this, aside from the renewed vow to restart a healthier lifestyle, is forgiveness. Whatever you do, make sure you put the bad feelings behind you; okay so you've had a slip up (or two) pffft

.....life happens, don't beat yourself up!!
You may be wondering why I say this, but trust me, the sooner you can let go of the negative feelings (guilt, shame etc) the sooner you can move forward. Remember, setbacks aren't a sign of failure or weakness, there a sign that something else is at play (pressures at work, in our relationships, all sorts of things) and we've taken solace in food, which albeit not the best way to manage things, it's (for many overweight people) a long and well regarded ol' chum!!
I'm no expert by any means, but (just my opinion here) for what it's worth (feel free to disregard part, or all of it). This is what I'd do......
1. Ditch the negativity......so you've had a setback; binged a little...hopefully you've had your fill (of junk) enjoyed it, regretted it, and now time it's to move on. You're soooooooo worth much more than any self pity or bad feelings; time to feel good about yourself again and the only way to do that is to refocus and reaffirm with positive thoughts, as well as making the changes to your routine.
2. Don't try to pick up where you left off....at your lowest you may have walked an hour a day, but after a break, you need to resume the routine at a slower pace. Don't try to jump back into the spot where you stopped. It can be too daunting, and you risk becoming disillusioned. Small steps, ease your way back!!

Instead of committing to walking for an hour, make it that every time you find yourself feeling the need to reach for something unhealthy, you grab your runners instead. Before you know it, you'll be doing a lot more walking without even realising it!!!
3. Visit the forum and post often....it helps you refocus, and having to type the words into the post actually reinforces what you're trying to do. And the more you do that, the more likely you are to stay focussed and get the job done!!! Besides, the more you post, the more we get to enjoy hearing about planet JP!!!
YOU CAN DO THIS JP!!! You've done it before, and you most certainly WILL AGAIN!!!
