No excuses here though, gotta keep on truckin' :D

JP where the hell are you BIATCH !?!

Well that explains you (shabby!!)   loss!! You've been unwell. Seriously, just think how much more you could have lost had you been 100%
Never mind, just think it'll be twice as good a result next week, when you're all rested and on the mend.

That's it GI, haul his sorry ass back in here!!!!

Really not happy with that, not sure what my body is doing. That's the smallest first week number I've pulled. Oh well, I'll keep going. Bring on Week 2 :)

Gosh!...not happy with a 3.7kgs?
During my whole weight loss journey the best weekly number I came up with was a 3.4kg...and most weeks were nowhere near that!
All power to you Helen - it's a great start in my books! 8)

It is tough moving again after stopping. I was watching a re-run of "The Biggest Loser" the other day. One woman was struggling on a hike. She would walk a few paces then fall down to her knees wailing that it was too hard as she tried to get up again. If only she had kept on her feet, saved her breath and just walked a slow steady pace without stopping and starting - she would have done the task with less effort. There is a lot to be said about doing weight loss in a steady deliberate pace. Take it steady John...just work on one day at a time and the momentum and motivation will return.

Just do what you can...but just make sure what you can - is done well. 8)

Looking forward to your weigh in...remember weigh ins are just the markers in our journey towards success - they are not the be all and end all of that journey.

Hey Guys,
Im still around and going well, I hope ... Im doing really well with not weighing every day and focussing on my eating and moving rather than the number on the scales. I know that my body will just get into its rhythm :)

Just been a hectic week with work, hence the lack of my posts.

JP Im worried about you mate, come back and talk :)

Good to hear that it is all coming together for you Helen. 8)
Getting that rhythm going is so important. :)

I think JP is having a bit of a tough time finding his rhythm at the moment.
A silent JP is never a good thing. :(

Come on John...don't get into a funk - yesterday is done with...today and tomorrow await with new hope and opportunity! :)

I'm sure JP is around, and will resurface come Monday morning!!!
Remember the weekends are not good for him; his mates tend to drop by and they obviously encourage him to have a few drinks?!!! It must be difficult for him, and peer pressure (even in our adult years) combined with just wanting to be social, can play havoc on our waistlines!!!

JP I take my hat off to you, I had one (light) ale on Friday night and it's a miracle I didn't send the scales into overdrive as a result, I don't know how you manage to stay within your weight limits with anything heavier (like full strength stuff)

Nevertheless, please know that we all believe in you, and that once you get back into the groove of weightloss the JP we all know and love will blow all of us away!!! :D Come JP.....show us you're fighting spirit (as only you can)!!!

O.M.G. GI that is AWESOME going....CONGRATS!!! I'd have to cut off a limb to lose that much each week. You should be very proud of yourself; that is FANTASTIC!!!!

Keep up the great work!!! :D

Oh and while you're at it, see if you can have a quiet word in JP's ear; get him to get his sorry ass back on the wagon, and back in here, amongst people who are going through the same struggles and that will help keep him on track)!! :D

Good stuff!!! I'm sure he's feeling a bit demotivated, but if anyone can talk sense into him, it's definitely you!!!
JP is unstoppable when he gets into it, and I know it's hard and sometimes you just can't seem to get your mojo back enough to come back (or keep going) but it's just a bump that once you're over it, you become stronger and more determined. JP has it in him, we all know that, but he needs to know it too!!!

I know the place he is in at the moment, we all do. I wont go into too much as I believe that's his story to share, when he is ready too.

I guess it's just so important to always remember that the only person that we can ever let down, promise or commit to ... is ourselves and no one else. It's our journey and we make the rules, we are accountable to the person that looks back at us in the mirror and if we can live with that and can be happy with our achievements, then thats all that matters :)

Yes I understand and have visited that place all too often myself!! Haven't we all at some point in our lives!?!! It's a terrible place filled with self loathing, guilt and loneliness, but I believe you can convince him that he will be okay, and remind him that when he's ready, we are all be here to help and support him as much as possible!! You're a good friend to him Gi and that in itself will help him get through the darkness!! God Bless xx
