thanks girls :)

nah mandie i dont think i have ran since high school p.e and that was about 8 years ago! i just started off power walking and then running and the going back to power walking. i usually power walk to one power pole and run the next two. i usually do this for about half an hour 45 minutes. and i do it at nighttime so no one can see how uncoordinated i am! haha. now after doing it for a couple of weeks i find i am running further intervals and power walking less.

are you going to do some runs?

Hey Mandie, I'm crashing Kate's thread here, but the Couch-to-5km Running Plan is widely recognised as a great starting point for those beginning running... and it actually similar to what Kate's been doing with her run/walk training. I love that it recommends that you repeat weeks if you don't feel up for the next level as going from zero to 5km in just 2 months may seem a bit daunting.
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...

Oh that sounds great Kate!

Yeah I'm definitely gonna start getting into that... I've just starting looking at that website you recommended milkyway and it looks really good for someone like me!

I think I'm going to take Kate's idea and go at night time so no-one can see me run... The plan is 3x a week so I think I will go to the gym 3x a week too, and then I'm exercising nearly every day!

No time like the present.. I'll start another thread for my running exploits and I will give it my first go on Monday!

well i completed all three runs this past week. quite happy with that. i didnt keep up too much with the squats and weights, only doing them for a few days and not every day. however my main goal is the 3 runs and anything on top of that is a bonus. going to do some watp this week coming. the weather is so unpredictable at the moment so i think they will come in handy this week.

ok got my third run in last night and also did watp a couple of times this past week. however i will need to make up a new pledge for april later today. i am getting really bored with the watp dvds now and i am going to be on the hunt for something different to do. when you get bored in your exercise routine you need to shake it up again otherwise you get lazy and dont wanna do it!

thanks for your support guys!
