Christmas will be a big test for me too. I usually go in with all these intentions to not overeat and ALWAYS come out stuffed. Luckily/unfortunately we can't go to the bloke's big family christmas lunch as they ran out of room, so I won't have the big buffet thing to tempt me, and I know my parents don't do that much. I just have to watch all the nibbles!
Like you I am intending to keep the exercise up, and my parents have suggested we all go for a walk on Mt Roland (which I'm not too concerned about from the walk point of view, more from the doing it with family point of view -they drive me nuts sometimes).
So hopefully we'll gert through it!!
