Bready's Daily Pledge

Postby Bread-Monster » Thu Sep 06, 2007 9:08 am

To eat only 1 crumpet toast in the morning or only 2 slices of toast for breakfast. (Usually I ea about 4 pieces of toast)

To do at least 3 hours of homework tonight.

To run for 15 minutes, do 60 sit ups (unsupported) and 5 sets of 15 push ups.

To stay awake in thermodynamics at 1pm...(This is a hard one because a) The lecturer is boring b) The lecture theatre is dark and cold and c) It's 1pm...)

Buy rice paper rolls for lunch at 2pm, either walk home and do 2 hours of homework or go to work in the garage.

Eat steamed brocolli for dinner tonight with a can of chilli tuna.

Drink at least 3 water bottles full of water today

Yay!! I have almost fulfilled my pledge today.

On top of that, I ran an extra 15 minutes on top of my assigned 15minutes.

Now all that's left to do is study for 3 hours, do 60 sit ups (unsupported) and 5 sets of 15 push ups.

Now...onto homework!

Indeed I have, Kate. Today is something quite different.

Will not overeat at the turkish Restaurant. I will STOP once I am no longer hungry.

I will not stall the car today while at my driving lesson.

I will get all my problems done in fluid dynamics and not slack off as usual.

I will drink 3 bottles of water.

I will go for a swim today (I haven't in a long time) And swim at least 30 laps.

I used to ALWAYS stall when I was learning until the driving instructor explained what a clutch was and how it worked.

This os one of the resons that I believe EVERYONE should have a basic understanding of how cars operate and at least some rudimentary maintenance skills. I have so many friends who don't even know what type of petrol their car takes or where the radiator cap is!!! not to mention tyre changing.

Arrgghh... fluid dymamics! thermodynamics! Well done for staying awake and getting all your work done!! I've been there myself, finished my engineering degree back in 2000. Don't remember much about it apart from the pain!!

Well done on the other pledges as well. Looking good :D

Thanks SarahC, you've been one of my inspirations. If you can graduate with an Engineering degree AND stay fit and healthy, I sure as hell can too :D .

I stalled the car once.. We were stopped on a hill and the instructor didn't remind me that I was in second gear. I also think he's a bit thick. There's no need to keep the car at 1500rpm before lifting the clutch off. If I had stayed at my usual 2000rpm, I wouldn't have stalled! ARGH! I also hate how he takes over the pedals which makes me feel as though I'm doing something wrong so I hesitate and not react when I normally would. I know how a frickin car works, geez.

Looks like I may not be able to go swimming, the feminine curse is upon me yet again. Blah. I really wanted to go swimming because my legs are sore from yesterday. I know, I'll wait an hour until my lunch digests, then I'll go down and run AGAIN! I feel like I have feral badgers attached to my hips in place of legs but I shall run anyway and show these badgers who's boss!

Better than some people who don't even know where the spare tyre is.

Ok, 2:20, I'm going to get changed and go for a nice, relaxing run

Ow...I remember why I wanted to go swimming, the stupid blister on my foot, I only feel it when i have runners on and I got it yesterday from those crappy 2 dollar sports socks. I just ended up doing handstands against the rugby goal posts. A wide open field, who could resist? I wanted to do handstands and cartwheels like a 6 year old again. :D

I have a pledge for tomorrow:

IF this isn't a spider bite and I will not require medical attention tomorrow, I shall:

Completely ignore my 8am lecture because the new guy is rubbish but will go to my fluids lab at 9am and make the most out of it.

Have only 2 slices of toast for breakfast.

go for a run around the oval (2.9km) do 5 sets of 15 push ups, do 200 sit ups, attempt a 1 minute arm hang.

Finish my fluids report, math report, do 2 hours of physics, do 1 hour of thermodynamics.

Clean and tidy the house up for guests (we're having a dinner party), this includes arranging the couch so the crumbs can no longer be found, clean the coffee table, vacuum, make the kitchen immaculate.

Not eat too much lemon curd pudding  Infact, only eat til I'm no longer hungry.

Apologise to section leader for screwing up the job. :(

Went to class, went to the gym, didn't do what I said I was going to do because I still feel sick. Heartrate jumped from 48bpm to 172 after running for 3 minutes.

Ate 2 slices of bread for breakfast, had 1 slice of leftover pizza for lunch. Still feel sick. cleaned up the house, wiped down the surfaces, folded the laundry...now I have 4 hours to finish my homework.
