My pledge

Postby danielle* » Tue Sep 25, 2007 9:49 am

Today I am going to exercise for 45 mins.

I've had a horrible week, I haven't exercised at all and I've been bingeing like nothing else, completely out of control senseless mindless cravings and eating and craziness. Yesterday was my weight in day and it was obviously going to be a gain, and I haven't changed my ticker because it's upsetting. I can't begin to deal with the eating at the moment, because if I'm not eating well or exercising, it's too hard for me to remedy both at once. So today, I will exercise. Tomorrow, I'll start fixing the eating.

Wish me luck.

good luck danielle - that's a great pledge!! :)

i know what you mean about it being a bit much to try and make two big changes at once. i read something really interesting recently about how to make little itty bitty goals that are really achieveable so you can work your way up to bigger goals and changes. it made lots of sense.

Thanks guys :)

Well done Kate! I've done 20 mins on the treadmill this morning, it was all I had time for before school and work. It's pretty late now but mum and I are about to watch our favourite show together so I'm going to do at least another 25 mins on the treadmill then. I was fully rationalising in my head how I could not do the other 25 but reading this thread and especially your response Kate has given me the kick up the butt I needed! I think my eating was better today but really not as good as it could be. However, better = good in my books!

I will definately make the same pledge with you today, no treadmill for me because I won't be home for much of the day but I'll go for a walk/jog.

90 minutes! That's awesome! I did a 50 min walk (part of which was a very short jog) and had my 1 1/2 hour yoga class. 45 mins is going to be my pledge every day now. If I know I have people who are expecting me to follow through with my pledge, it helps with my motivation because I'll feel guilty if I post that I haven't done it!

I'm not going so well. I'm feeling all flu-like and I've stuffed up my back somehow (I actually think maybe from yoga), it's killing me, but I made a physio appointment for tomorrow so hopefully it will get better. However- I've had a bit of a rest now so when Charmed comes on I'll jump on the exercise bike and do as much as I can handle. Something is better than nothing.

Kate you're on fire with your exercise, you go girl :)
