No eating junk at night!

Postby Jenni » Wed Jan 18, 2006 5:07 pm

For the last two nights ive been going okay with this new diet thing, exept for at night time. Thats when i seem to have problems. I haven't given in yet, and i wont, but its really hard when i eat a smallish dinner, and then there's these pizza adds on TV - you know the new three cheese pizza job!?

Last night i nearly went for the cheese and bickies, but instead i had a 97% fat free salada with Tuna (in springwater) and a little light mayo. It wasnt great but it wasnt that good either...

So from now on i pledge that i wont eat anything after i have eaten my dinner...

There's a few people on here who make homemade chips out of mountain bread (spray oil on the bread, sprinkle with your choice of flavour and bake in oven until crispy - I'm pretty sure it would work if you sprayed on water rather than oil). Maybe you could try something like that. or have some cut up fruit and veg to snack on.
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

Instead of having a smallish dinner, perhaps you could accompany your meal with a huge salad.
There are some already made up salad bags sold at woolworths. I usually grab the one called Baby Leaf Selection with Beetroot. It's mostly baby spinach leaves. I sometimes add some sliced stuffed olives or a handfull of cherry tomatoes. A small splash of Paul Newmans Light Balsamic Vinaigrette on the top of that is pretty yummo. I buy 4 pre made salad bags for myself per week.

It's sort of like a lebanese bread, or a pita bread
you can find them in all Coles stores and a few other grocery stores too.
