this is what I do!
I have an exercise bike in the lounge room and I usually pick a show tht I love to watch - Simpsons, Medium, Ghost Whisperer and ride while watching. I start off at level 1 but every ad or so go up a level so Im increasing the resistance. It works because I hate exercise but Im doing it while watching a fave show.

I sometimes do this too.
I watch a show and every commercial break I'd jump on my treadmill and jog (it's too noisy to use during the show, plus the commercial breaks are just the right length of time for my workouts, any longer and I'd injure myself)

I'm a cycle girl during TV too, but if there's nothing on, put your ipod on and makes sure it's got some angry/fast/loud music on, It helps to increase the intensity of the cycle without actually feeling it too much because you get distracted by the music!

wish I had enough room to do that!!

With our 2 huge 3 seaters and coffee table theres hardly any room to move!!!

I should take over the games room from my son and do it in there!!

I like to get up and jog on the spot or even do some squats or lunges - my girls think that I am silly - but it is better then sitting on the couch and doing nothing!!

I need to get my exercise bike out from the shed and put it back into the lounge room so when I'm in there at night watching my fave tv shows i can jump on it. :)

This is a great idea. I used to cycle while watching DVDs (I got through so uch Buffy this way!), but now I don't have my cycle anymore and I go to the gym instead. However, there are some exercises I should do more often, like tricep dips, tricep and normal push ups, lunges, planks, (ie. the ones I'm crap at). Ad breaks are probably the perfect length for these kinds of exercises, and I can recover during the show.

haha and here i was thinking i was the only one looking stupid for doing squats and running on the spot during ad breaks. lately i've been getting out the old skipping rope and doing as many as i can during the ads.

Ok...all makes sense. but what if you dont want to look like a dick in front of a new partner???
we've only lived together a short time, and although my size hasnt stopped us fallin' in lurrrve, I dont feel the need to bounce rnd the lounge room in front of him!

Hmm, I generally watch TV while doing my cardio at the gym, but for whatever reason haven't thought to bring that idea home with me. Sounds like a great thing to keep my activity up over the winter!
