I have an exercise bike in the lounge room and I usually pick a show tht I love to watch - Simpsons, Medium, Ghost Whisperer and ride while watching. I start off at level 1 but every ad or so go up a level so Im increasing the resistance. It works because I hate exercise but Im doing it while watching a fave show.
