Bean Sprouts Are Your Friend

If you love stir-fries like me, but also LOVE the rice or noodles that go with them but are trying to cut back on carbs, subsitute noodles with bean sprouts instead - they look and taste almost the same as noodles but have NO carbs and hardly any calories. They fill you up too!

What a great idea mrs c. I have a great stir fry beef recipe that uses bean sprouts, it is really tasty and really filling.

I use them in the Indonesian Fried Rice recipe!! they are really yummy!! But i have learnt to rinse them first :?

Mmmm -- I lurve bean sprouts. I used to hate them as a kid and would pick them out of fried rice, but now I love 'em. Right, they're going on the veggie shopping list week :)

They are great for filling out dishes. Very healthy and very cheap! I normally find the bag goes off before I get through them all!

That is a great idea I love sprouts.

I often want to have Hokien noodles and although I don't have a problem with carbs in this case I do have a problem with stopping at one serving. They are just so yummy. So I tend not to have them at all but the sprouts idea...mmm.

I've heard of people using bean sprouts as pasta! Apparently they are delish boiled and then covered in pasta sauce (I'd use crushed tomato personally, don't see the need for pasta sauce!!), mushrooms and cheese!
