Making Water Yummy

Postby Pipsi » Fri Aug 10, 2007 5:13 pm

For those of you who find water bland.... like me!

Today one of the girls got a big jug, chopped up an orange and filled the jug with water. All day she has been drinking it and filling it up and I have decided to try it.

YUM! It makes me want to drink water - just that hint of citrus!

You could also use lemons, limes or grapefruits. Or even combine them!

Hope it helps a few of you - water is so good for you!

I do the lemon thing. To me water tastes different all the time at work and at home I have one of those little bottles of lemon juice that I squirt into my water bottle each time I refill it. One bottle at $1,99 lasts me about 2 weeks.

1 cup (250ml) Lemon Juice = 61 Calories
1 orange averages 60 calories

I'd reckon that over the course of the day AND if it encouraged you to drink 2litres of water then the energy it took your body to process the water would make it fairly insignificant.

Thanks for sharing the tip! :)

I use a couple of frozen berries and iceblocks to make my water look more appealing, lol!

I drink H2Go water, pineapple flavour, I much prefer it to plain water. In WW its 0.5 points per bottle.

I tryed the new MiZone rapid in raspberry and it was really nice. Think it is 150cals though per bottle. I just wanted the container.

It's a good idea to make water more tasty. But dont u need to add some sugar when using lemon ? It is way too sour, i think... Is there any cure, i think im a sugar-addict :(. Tend to add much more sugar than needed to every drink and find it extremely bland sugar-free.
