Keeping Ali Accountable

Postby ali76 » Mon Aug 25, 2008 12:15 pm

OK, I have 32 days until my trip to the USA and I want to be in great condition. My goals are:

- to lose 2 kilos
- bootcamp Mon, Wed & Fri
- Gym twice a week
- to eat 2 pieces of fruit a day
- to eat 5 serves of veg a day
- to drink 2L of water a day
- no carbs after 4
- no eating after 7
- one treat day a week.

I thought I'd keep a little diary for the next month to keep me accountable. This is my plan for today...all good so far...

Monday 25th August (OMG - 4 months til Xmas!!)
6-7.15 Bootcamp
7.30 Wheat flakes with extra bran and low fat milk (Breakfast)
10.00 Museli Bar
12.00 Apple
1.30 Salad (lettuce, cherry tomatoes, avocado, cucumber, low fat fetta, low far cheddar, fat free dressing)
3.30 Banana
6.30 Chicken breast with cauliflower, brocoli, carrots and beans with a mild salsa sauce
If I'm still hungry I might have some strawberries with yoghurt (I know it's a 3rd serve of fruit but it's better than chocolate or ice cream!!).

If anyone has any suggestions / comments - feel free!

Hey ali that sounds like a great program! Would you mind if I joined in? I know I'm not going on my trip just yet, but I am in the process of loosing weight for it and would love to check in with you everyday to keep myself accountable!I had previously set myself a goal of being 65kg by the end of September and that ties in well with your time frame :) Anyway let me know if you want some company :)

OMG Jane - of course!! If I have to check in with someone I'll make sure I'm really being good (and honest!) - thanks!!

Lexi, I can't eat before bootcamp - it's too hard core! I ate a museli bar before my very first session and felt sick by the end of the warm up! I can only even sip water during it too...no gulping like I would at gym / netball! I have a good breakfast as soon as I'm finished though....and good grief do I need it by then!!

I'm trying to wait now until 12 for my apple..!!

Yay :D Ok I'll get back to you when I know what my goals are- I'd say to increase my weekly exercise, only got about 5hours in this week due to work and stuff but ideally I want to be doing 7 hours of exercise a week, and of course recording everything in calorie king as that seems to be my weak area these days, but yeah I'll let you know when I have a few more specifics :)

Hi Ali your plan sounds great, if your worried about having to many serves of fruit why don't you have some carrot, celery or cherry tomatos instead of one of the fruits? It'll up the vegie count for the day and you can vary the vegies you have capsicum, snow peas, beans etc plus raw veg is sooooo good for you!

Do you know what sort of treat you would want each week? I found a great treat yesterday is sorbet! YUMMMM, theres even lychee sorbet, soo yummy!

ok, will start with this then see how i go. if all goes well, i might up it in a week or 2:

- eat brekkie
- take lunch to uni every day
- no eating after dinner!
- eating better/within my WW points
- under 60kg (i don't care if its 59.9 lol)
- gym at least twice a week (will up it when i get into the habit of going)

think that's all for now!

Thats a good point actually Lexi....I might change mine to no eating after dinner since I don't get home until 6, it might be after 7 when I eat dinner...!

That's a really good point too Tarz...I actually bought some celery, carrots, etc to cut into sticks for snacking on....and left it all at home!!! Will do that tonight.

We can do this girls!

Ok, so these are my goals for the first week- then I'll reassess and see what needs to be changed;

-7hours of exercise a week
-Record food on calorie king and stay within my limit of 1200cals
-Do 3 c25k and 3 monster motivator sessions a week
-Get 9 hours of sleep a night
-5-10 min stretching session when I wake up in the morning
-GET UNDER 70!!!

Today I've done c25k and then monster motivator is tonight :D I'm excited :D

Is C25K and the monster motivator included in the 9 hours of exercise or is it on top of it?

OK....so I've sort of already cheated....sort of.

I was still really hungry after my salad so when I went to see my gym and pick up my membership I got some sushi....figured it was better to do that than stay hungry and attack the charity chocolate box later in the afternoon...

Gggrrrr.....
