Hi Kim, just interested to know what LSA is? I have seen it quite a few times in your food diary and it has got the better of me and I had to be a treacle beak and ask! (hope you don't mind)

Hehe treacle beak I like it!

LSA - ground linseed, sunflower seeds and almond nuts

I had been reading about the benefits of flaxseed (linseed) oil as it is a rich source of essential fatty acids (good fats) and contains about double the omega 3s of fish oil. I was initially looking for just the linseed oil and remembered reading about how adding sunflower oil also helps with the omega 6s. Anyway, whilst in a health food shop I noticed the LSA which I had seen Tegan (butterfly_dawn) write in her food diary and when I read what it was made of figured I would use that instead of the oil. You can pick this mix up at the supermarket too which is where I get it.

I sprinkle it on my cereal or into yoghurt and if I am making an egg white omelette it goes in the mix I think it is quite tasty.

Haven't researched it as much as I would like but I am getting there and will let ya'll know if I find out more.

Tegan may have more info too.

Thanks for that Kim, might have to look into it further.

Tegan, do you have any extra info :?:

Do you use it as a replacement of fats in your diet, or is it like an added extra??

Generally speaking unless I am having bad foods  my fat intake is low so this is an addition to my diet. I haven't consciously cut out anything else to absorb it. Some of this food is new to me so again I watch how things are going and can alter at any given time if something stops working for me.
