Sarah's weekly challenges

Postby SarahC » Fri Jan 04, 2008 9:40 am

Ok, so I'm on a self-imposed shake diet program, of my own invention, for the next 8 weeks. I thought to entertain myself, I will set myself a "task" each week. Well, the first week is almost over so I'll write that one off. But picking up again with Week 2, starting tomorrow:

Week 2 Challenge

This will be the same as the last one I set for myself (which worked quite well). I will not stand on the chair and dip into my stash of nuts, protein powder, or anything else that I may be up on the top shelf of my pantry. Especially the nuts (high in calories) and the protein powder (high in $$$$). Plus it's not good for the chair

I also have a jar of almond spread which is a problem (mega high in calories, can't leave it alone!). Not only have I got it stored in the freezer so it's rock solid, it's wrapped up in alfoil so I can't see it when I stare into the freezer. Add to the challenge.... I won't touch the damn frozen almond spread!!

7 days, can't be that hard. I'll come back here next week and report my success (or lack thereof). :D

Thanks Kate and Jo. So far so good... no stuff ups to report as yet :D

Kitty is going well, growing at a rapid rate. She's off to the vet in the next few weeks for her desexing operation, which I'm sure she will be most unimpressed about! That ought to slow her down a bit for a while anyway hahaha.

I think you must've done well as I haven't spotted any almond spread in your daily food diary, just lots of tuna

Thanks guys :D Yep it's going alright. I have attacked my stash of protein powder the last two nights BUT I weighed the (tiny, 15g) portion that I did take, and included it in my diary for the day. Not ideal, but definitely progress :P

Those tuna pouches will be stored on the top shelf from now on!! I'll eat anything within my reach

I had successfully forgotton about that almond spread too lol!! Out of sight out of mind...

Ok, I will have to call this challenge a success, because I didn't do any of the things I said I wouldn't do. I just ate other things instead!!!

I really don't want to do this, but this is going to HAVE to be my challenge for next week....

Week 3 Challenge

No eating after 8:30pm at night (aiming for 8pm, but giving myself a little leeway) and definitely no eating during the night when I wake up! Eating includes picking. It's so easy to eat a little of something straight out of the box/packet/container, and forget about it. Do that enough times during the evening, and it all adds up!!

I think what I will do is clean my teeth at that time, and then that's it. I'll also put some sugar free lollies next to my bed to eat if I wake up (I find mint ones work really well as I don't want to eat anything after that)

I'll post progress daily on this one as it's going to be extremely difficult. Hence, I won't be upset if I fail, just embarassed!!

Thanks guys!! Unfortunately I have failed my first two nights :( But there's another five to go to make up for it!!

Yeah I have big troubles sleeping. Usually I get to sleep pretty easily (but that's been getting worse the last few weeks), but I always wake up at least once or twice during the night. :(
