Yah, it's gotta be done.

I'll be happy to weigh in at 61kg on the scales at the gym fully dressed (shoes & all)

LOL - if you can't ask a woman what her weight is on a weightloss forum, when can you ask her :P

I am 69kg at the gym.

Thanks John, it's only fitting that we have our own Biggest Loser challenge :D. Great idea to weigh in on the same night. So is that a Monday night? My weekly weigh in is tomorrow, so I will take that weight as my starting weight and go from there. I will still stick to my original goal of 65kgs, which should be achieveable. Best of luck girls and John.

I honestly don't know... is the show going to be on every night?

I don't think the show will be airing for four months. That's approximately what the contestants get, but I think the show only airs for 10 weeks, then the contestants go home and lose weight on their own steam for six weeks, then come back for the finale. But as viewers, we don't have to wait those six weeks.

(OK maybe I'm a little addicted to the show  :P)

this is what happens:

They started filming in November last year. They film for about 12 weeks then the remaining 3 are given 3 months to lose the rest. Then they come back for the finale.

They are almost finished filming now. So we are seeing stuff that happened like 3 months ago. By the time the 12 weeks have been aired they have been home trying to lose the weight in their own. So the finale is pretty much filmed and aired around the same time.

I heard then say 4 months aswell so maybe the show will air for a little longer as they have more contestants. Big Brother went for longer last year so maybe this will too.

What she said! :P

Although, I reckon it would be really inspiring trying to lose the weight and watching your heavier self on the TV at the same time! It would be a constant reminder not to get back that way. Oh, and the quarter million dollars or whatever the prize money is would be some small incentive... :P
