Rose's Challenges

Postby ~Rose~ » Sat Mar 29, 2008 10:41 am

Okay so I've set myself my first challenge - getting into the double digit's by the end of April :)
It's only 5-7kg I say that cause my last weigh in on Friday was 106kg which would be 7kg to get to 99kg but I sneakily hoped on the scales this morning and I was 105kg :D but TTOM is next week so there could be a bit of fluctuation in my weight.

Anyway...

Challenge SW - 106kg
Challenge GW - 99kg

Well I'm hoping for a really good week this week helen (going to go hard for it) hubby is away for the week and I,d love to hear him say when he gets home... crap you are losing weight lol.
It's good I always loose weight while he's away but our friends he stays with, the wife always complains she gains while hubby stays with her lol.
If you haven't guessed Hubby (Mark) loves to cook!!! and even cooks the evening meals for our friends when he stays with them. I'm lucky in the sense that I have a man who cooks pretty much every night but my waist line isn't so lucky. But he is very supportive and has never cared about my weight, infact there have been times I think he likes me big lol I'm sure he's tried to sabbotage me on more than one occassion lol.

lol :D
He's actually been pretty supportive this time round, I think he realises how serious about it I am now. Everyday now he lets me know what he's probably going to cook that night and asks if I can have some or if I'll be having something else. A few nights a week I'll have what he's made as most of it is pretty good. Just cut down on my serving sizes and replace the potatoes with some other veg or salad (coz he loves his potatos). I think he missed his calling.. he should have been a chef. That's probably another contributing factor to my weight gain... it's like eating restaurant food most nights. He love watching all the different cooking shows too and I thought I'd find this hard while I'm trying to loose weight but with my 5 little meals a day I'm never hungry so it doesn't bother me :D

It will be great to have u along for this helen... so shall we try for 7kg each for April :D I will be so chuffed if I manage it :D

Mainly walking and pilates. I walk the kids to school a few times a week but I'm going to try for every day now and that's about a 40-45minute walk for me (only 20 for the kids) I've actually just come back from that walk and took the kids with me on their rollerblades lol was fun and a workout dragging them up the hill hehe. And I absolutely adore pilates, not only does it help flatten my tummy and stop my lower back pain but it also helps give you great posture :D I'm looking forward to stepping up to intermediate pilates hopefully in May I think I should be ready.
When I can, usually weekends we go for a walk along the beach, Mark will normally stop with the kids and watch them have a swim while I walk the length of the beach. I love doing that cause when your walking along a beach just somehow doesn't feel like exercise. And I want to get a hold off that dance yourself thin dvd I think that would be fun!
What about you Helen? what types of exercise do you do and what do you enjoy most?

That's a great way to look at it too Helen, but I am hopeing that when I weigh in this week it will only really be around 5kg that I need to loose for April hehe.
