Hmm, but in the wholse scheme of things, you still have to have a life :D I think you've done great, especially to avoid the bbq lunch... and you'll jump back on the wagon straight away anyway

I am honest with myself and stick 100% to my diet restricitions during the week. Then on the weekend I allow myself to splurge. Of course I have to still be sensible, and mostly I still make really great choices on the weekend, but occaisionally I have a really bad day on the weekend and I end up feeling physically awful lol, so I find now that even though I give myself free reign on the weekends, just having the choice is enough - I don't want to eat the same things I used to!! Which is great, I appreciate that my body doesn't like KFC (for example) anymore. Makes it easier to resist something when it makes your stomach does cart wheels at the thought of it ha ha.

Anyway, I just got completely off topic there, so I'm gonna finish up!! :P

I am lucky in that the splurge last night is a pretty rare thing for me these days, it will probably be the last until Christmas,so to be honest I'm not overly bothered by it as I'm pretty sure it will come off over the next few days.
I've just done some weights and gone for my walk so I'm well on my way again :D .

Like you the thought of greasy food is enough to turn my belly these days and as you said the odd splurge does nobody any harm.

Back on track now.

Take care and good luck for the week ahead.

We can't expect to be perfect all the time. If you do it all the time then it's a problem becaseu that is your diet. But a little over indulgence on a cheese & nibble platters is different than then saying, "What the hell I've stuffed my diet," and then going on a total binge. "Where is the chocolate cake and icecream and popcorn and side of pork and .... " .

Its been easier since i've kept time related goals away from me. I find it doesn't get me so down, and then i cant stuff my face from being sad :) It doesn't matter how long it takes me as long as i get there :) Thats all i'm going to worry about!

Shalimar - it still sounds like you didnt go crazy. I note it was a half a spam sandwich not, "Give me the tin of spam and a loaf of bread." Ok OK I noticed you had chips. But that still isnt the end of the world. If we were all perfect we wouldn't be on this site to start with would we? Like Whit3y says, just get back on track. We all have to find what works for us. I note Whit3y you say that the time goals dont work for you, whereas I think I need to start focusing on something like that and have some accountability. To set some goals and mean it or I just let it all slide.....

I'm back on track, I went for 2 walks yesterday as junior wanted to go to the playground so I used it as an excuse to get a bit more exercise in :) .

Funny thing about the half spam sandwich, it was juniors and my aunty made it especially for him as she knows he likes spam but then he couldn't eat it and I felt a bit guilty so that's why I finished it. Meh, I'm over it, onwards and upwards err downwards  .

Have a great day all.

Goals are good, just be careful with time related ones. Make sure they are reasonable, because if they're not and you don't reach them they put a downer on your weightloss, thats what I found was happening. So now i'm just going to be happy to keep losing :) I'm going to take it week by week, because every loss counts, I don't need to lose x amount of kilo's by x date. I just need to lose weight in general.

Spam sandwiches... Oh how i love them :( Esp when the spam has been grilled and it melts the butter and the bread goes all soggy :)
