Your plan of attack sounds great Jess! all the things u have bullet pointed sound very doable - u are going 2 do great on this challenge!
I'll come in here & support you, won't join in on your challenge as i'm already doing what ur doing every day/ weekly/ fortnightly/ monthly & my goal is to reach 60kg by November.

I might join ya!

I'm needing some motivation. My goals will be:

1. Drink more water
2. Make healthy food choices
3. At least 30 mins exercise every other day, if not every day. (this will be the hardest bit!)
4. Be able to fit this new plan into my day on top of work, study and looking after my 8 year old daughter!!!

Thats about it for now I think, don't want to over do it!

My weight loss goal is to lose about 8 or so kilos, not much, but twenty weeks should do it. How hard can it be to lose 400 grams per week!!!!!! :?

Good luck to all (and to me!!!) lol. !!!!

Oh and another thing I will do is add a new goal each week, like:

reduce coffee intake
cut down on chocolate
nothing to eat after dinner
2 pieces of fruit a day

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated...i will have to think of 20, and by the end of the challenge, i will be a healthier, fitter, happier me!!!!

good to have you on board Nay! i will be posting on here every monday, but everyday on my blog- http://jessica-mole.livejournal.com/

So today was the starting point- start weight is 96.2kg (so no loss or gain from last week)

Motivation is very high right now! I went to my first Bodypump class tonight (LOVED it!) and just looking at myself in the mirror was enough to get me going!

Good luck with it Nay, and im only a click of the button away if i can help u!

Thanks! I will definately be checking out your blog each day to follow your progress.

Great work on the body pump class! It's a killer!! I had to cancel my gym membership in March because I got into study and reduced my work hours, so I could no longer afford the fees, or the time!!! I miss Bodypump though...sigh...

Well, anyhoo, i have started a diary in the progress section if you wanna check it out...i'm heading there now.

Keep up the good work!!!

Nay xx

Hi Jess, i hope your challange is going well, unfortunately i can go to your blog to see, damn computer restrictions.
Your plan looks great. You'll definately be at goal by Xmas if your motivation stays this high!
I still can't believe chrissie is so soon already! This year has rocketed by and now we are starting to plan our next chrissie party!

had my first weigh in today and ive lost 1.4kg!!!!!! yay. what a nice start to week 1 of my challenge! it wasnt easy though, this week has been full of missed exercise sessions & extra calories! but i mustve been doing something right!

my goals for this week-

monday(today)- gym 60 mins cardio
tuesday- gym 30 mins weights
wednesday- 30 mins cardio
thursday- RPM (45mins)
friday- personal training (30 mins weights) & 30 mins cardio
sat & sun- rest (well working anyway)

my healthy lifestyle habit to start improving this week is drinkin more water, im terrible when it comes to drinkin water, especially when its cold. but i will make myself drink more!

looking forward to weigh in next week, i post everyday on my blog- http://jessica-mole.livejournal.com/

Congrats Jess on that loss. Keep up the hard work.
Why do you do 60 minutes on Mondays and 30 minutes on the other days? (i'm just curious as to whether there is a specific reason or if your like me and feel extra work is needed after a weekend)

thanks Tarz

my exercise scheduale depends what shifts im working. for example, today i start work at 2:30pm, so i have all morning free so i will exercise for an hour. now, i finish work at 11pm tonight and start work at 7am tomorrow morning, so i dont get much sleep between shifts. because of this i am usually exhausted, so thats why i will only do 30mins tomorrow. i am also working 7am wednesday, and the second day shift after an evening shift is usually the worst in terms of exhaustion, so again only 30 mins wednesday arvo. i know from experience if i work out too hard & be a shift worker ( and im studying part-time as well) i get fatigued & exhausted very quickly and then end up not exercising at all. i need to pace myself so im not burning the candle at both ends :D
