Call Out for those with 50kgs + to lose

Postby GoddessInside » Mon Oct 20, 2008 7:13 am

Hello People of WLF ! How are we doin?

Many of you may know me, some of you may not, I usually hide in my thread only due to time constraints ( I work 75hrs per week ) and apologise for not getting to know the "newbies".

Soooo why am I here and posting today .... As you can see going by my thread, this is a call out. I need a challenge to kick my arse back into line and into gear. So Im calling out for all members who have 50kgs + to lose so that we can start our own challenge and rid ourselves of this weight once and for all. My only request is that you must have 50kgs or more to lose. to join this forum. It's a very hard and lonely road to travel when you have such a long way to go, so if we can jump on our way together to be there to support eachother and give eachother tips along the way, the burden will not be as heavy.

We'll set little mini goals along the way, Xmas, Valentines, Easter or we could just do monthly goals ... Im up for anything :)

I'll start us off... As of this morning.

SW - 173.4kgs
Weight to lose: 103.4kgs
Xmas Goal - 165kgs

Who's with me ?
SW: 233.2kgs - Nov 2012
SW148.0kgs - 14 Oct 2014
CW 141.2kgs

Make that four. :D I feel the same way.

Every year I put on a few kilos.
I've got to make this work and break the cycle. I need the external accountability (or as you called it, arse kicking) or I let things slide... then I put on more. Recently got up to 119 my heighest weight ever. I have just increased my ticker start weight and I hope this is the last time!

I want to weigh less at the end of this year than at the start. By sharing this journey if I can help support others, even better.

CW:115.5
To lose: 50.5
Xmas: 105

I've got 47.2kg to lose... is that close enough? (Although, if I try to get down to my original goal, I've got 57.2kg to go)...

I'd really like someone to keep me on track :) I know that I can keep you guys on track!! :p

I think we should do monthly goals, but still weigh in each week.

My weigh in days are on Sundays.

Does everyone have some sort of eating plan? :)

And... YAY Goddess Inside for getting back on track! :D

I've got nearly 50 to loose (say 49) but if we look at percentage I need to loose more than 40% of my current weight, eventually!

CW = 114kg
Goal = 65kg
Mini Goal = 100 for New Year!

My challenge for this week is to stop weighing daily (to check if I got away with the last over-indulgence  ) and I will weigh in with you guys on either Sat or Sun (depends on when I have to work).

Hun, don't beat yourself over this weeks weigh in, use it as your starting point !

My plan is simple, learn to say NO and get back in CONTROL. I've lost it somewhat. Then I know my motivation and everything will just fall back into line :)

Hows everyong goig ?

I've had a cold for 3 weeks. It has gotten worse for the last week. I think I'm just burnt out. I feel like saying, "Poor little old me, why don't I have a ....., I deserve it." But I wont. Instead I think, "I want to lose weight, that is ridiculous" as soon as I think of weakening.

If you let yourself dwell on whether to have something or not it is torturing yourself and self sabotage.

I weighed this morning and I'm now 115kg - my goal for the week so I'm happy. 8)

The doctor was booked for days, but had a cancellation so I got an appointment this morning. YES! I really need some antibiotics - I'm hardly sleeping at night between running temperatures and coughing. I cant really exercise although I'm taking my old dog for a mini-walk each day. I'm looking forward to getting stuck into it soon.

Hi all,

I know that we all have our own goals dates etc in mind, but do you think we can pick out a few of the major dates, like xmas, valentines day, easter, halloween etc that we can plan to have as common goal dates (I know our current one is xmas).

I ask this because then we can all pledge a goal for the date, such as xmas. Then I can track us all in an excel spreadsheet, because then I can tell each of us what our average loss needs to be over the entire period (from pledge date to goal date) and I can give a running average each week, i.e. this week I lost X, taking me to X which means in the X weeks left of this challenge I need to lose an average of X per week.

I have done this personally and it has really helped to put my personal challenes into perspective (i.e. are they even realistic from the start) but then also to help motivate me each week to reduce my weekly average.

It's just an idea, we could all make an official pledge using our weight as of this Saturday as our start, and the Saturday before xmas as our goal date (that leaves 8 weigh in weeks) - what do you say?

I'm a nerd, so this kind of stuff makes me happy lol!!
