I would also like to be down to double figures by Christmas!
Just started this week at 108kgs. Hope to be below 100 by Christmas!
I work from home on my on-line business so I lead a fairly sedantary life-style.
I've just turned 60 and live on my own.
I used to walk each morning but have developed a sore knee so now find it too painful to walk for too long.
BUT - I've found a solution!
I've moved a TV into the office and every time there is an ad on I get up and start exercising!
I have a step to step up and down on during the ad. I can do this 60 times during the ad break!
So each morning I do the step exercises - about 10 sets of 60!
ALSO - I went to Big W and bought myself some hand-weights.
I use these for arm exercises which I do during the afternoon.
Each exercise is repeated 20 times and I try to do 10 sets of these also.
During the evening, whenever the ads are on TV, I jump up and using my hand-weights to do bending exercises, repeating 20 times!
This is a new exercise for me so I'm still working up to doing 10 sets of this as well.
I KNOW what to eat and what to avoid so try not to have the wrong food in the house.
I have 6 grandchildren aged from 4 to 12 and want to be able to spend more quality time with them, without them being ashamed of their big, fat Grandma!
I have been to a counsellor to work out why I have "chosen" to be overweight! It's all related to past relationship problems!
Now, I've decided I will "get real" and start looking after myself again so that I can be proud of myself again!
I'm looking for some support if there's anyone out there whose willing to swap stories and achievements.
IT'S TIME TO "GET REAL"!
