Summer Challange

We are now into summer, the best time to get active outdoors. I need to lose about 12KG to reach my goal weight and want to do it before I start Uni in March (if i get in). As uni is going to be difficult I decided I need to have reached my goal by the time I start as I will be using my spare time to study as of March.

That gives me the whole summer to lose this weight.

So starting now I will be doing everything I can to lose this weight- 3 months to lose 10-12kg is achievale and I know I can do it!

I will:

-Walk every morning pushing my son in the pram
-have my fruit smoothy for breakfast
-Eat a light healthy lunch
-Have a balanced meal including lightly steamed vegies
-Do 15min on strider and 30min weight training
-Listen to 'The Gabriel Method' CD at night for encouragment
-Weigh in on Mondays and ONLY on Mondays
-Be happy every day, if starting to have a bad day- think of the positive aspects, no matter how small there is a positive

So thats the plan- sounds easy enough (unfortunatly not as easy as i would like)

Good on you MUMNBUB im pretty sure you can do it and its a reasonable time frame just persistence and motivation is the key so goodluck and keep us posted and all the best for UNI :)

Well I think my summer challange is off to a good start- have started Duromine and have the energy to go for my walk each day, am doing the walk in 40min when it used to take me up to 55min.
I am looking forward to weigh in day on Monday- I think with the Duromine I will have a fighting chance for once.
Will try and get a good weights work out today, it depends on if Eric has one nap or two as I have to do some work which comes before exercise.

Will be having a christmas party tonight- going to a chinese restrant which will be good- not worried about eating to much, i think i will order an entre size meal (do chinese restrants do that?), will attempt no to drink too much aswell. But if i fail and do eat too much and drink too much then who cares- its one night and its been about 2+ years since I have been out to dinner without Eric, before him I was stuck in a meaninless relationship so never went out (apart from KFC ect) I will enjoy my night out and then start again tomorrow.

Ok, so I am back on track- lost 1.5kg this week bringing me back to what i was 3 weeks ago. I am confidant that I will reach my goal by the end of summer.
Today I hope to do my workout dvd before heading out for a few hours

Lost another 1.7kg this week, am feeling so motivated at the moment! I think i will be able to achieve my goal before summer is over- at this rate it will be over in about 2 months but i know that things never go to plan, might lose lots one week then do the same the following week and lose nothing which might go on for a few weeks at a time but still, i am confidant that i will be happy with my results by the end of this challange

Gosh I really hope my christmas away has not spoilt my efforts lately! Have eaten lots of bacon and eggs lol and drunk too much wine. Will be back on track tomorrow when family is gone :) love them but they dont eat like me.
So will be back exercising and eating right as of tomorrow morning and will weigh in first thing to see what damage has been done.

Well not toooo much damage but wish it was not over 1kg- had a gain of 1.1kg so considering what i had been eating while away its not that bad. Family now gone so will get back to normal for a few days before i go away for new years- cant wait until the party season is over!

Ok, Christmas and the new year are over so am ready to really get stuck into this. I have 8 weeks to lose 12kg so i need to lose 1.5kg a week to reach my goal- will be happy if i lose between 8 and 12kg though, i know losing 1.5kg each week is not really that realistic. I will try my very best and i cant do anything more than that so whatever i lose will be enough.
Its just not easy finding the motivation to get moving after having almost 2 weeks without exercise or propper eaing. Will start again though today, will do my workout dvd when Eric has a nap.

Thankfully my weight is going down despite the lack of exercise, i weighed myself this morning (just out of curiosity) and was down to 81.2kg. I really need to get some exercise in so will attempt my dvd today when Eric naps. I was so good with my exercise but after not doing anything while away its just made me lazy again, i know once i start i will be back on track but its the starting that i have issues with.

I had lost 600g last week so am happy about that, back under 81kg and nearing my mini goal of 80kg. i have not been able to do any exercise (well, could have today but had other things i wanted to achieve). i plan to start walking again and exercising as soon as i find my motivation- seems to have lost it lol.
Still believe i can reach my goal

Good loss mumnbub - you're still losing weight without exercising which means you're eating is perfect.

Just realised there are only 5 weeks of summer left :( As i still have 11-12kg left I dont think i will reach my goal in 5 weeks. I will keep trying though and if i can lose 5 or 6kg in that time it will bring me to my original goal of 75kg which is still a great effort. Will just take it one day at a time and see what happens
