I think I am going to have to be very careful with my diet or I may get complacent and start adding a little bit extra food here and there and next thing be putting on weight again....

Well I lost 100g so thats something lol- After a month I am no lighter and no closer to my goal. I seem to gain whatever I lose, takes me one week to gain a few hundred grams then weeks to lose it again. I will be pushing myself so much this week to start moving the weight.

Went for a jog this morning, i timed myself and manage to do a lap of the sports oval in 4min , did 2 laps of it and hopefully can beat that time and eventually do more than 2 laps.

I was going to do my workout dvd this afternoon but its been go go go for me and only just managed to stop, so now its getting late and have to pick my son up from day care soon so no longer have time. But have done plenty of walking today so between the walking and the jog this morning I have had some exercise so its all good :)

100g is a loss. You are heading in the right direction. I know what you mean I was in that cycle too - putting on weight then taking ages to lose it. :( :x Decide you will stick at your plan and will succeed. Make this year YOUR year. Do it because YOU deserve it and do it for you son. A fit, healthy Mum. BTW Very impressive running laps and timing yourself. If I run more than a few steps I feel like I'm overheating and I'd die. :# Keep up the good work. There is still plenty of time this quarter to haev a good loss.

I ahd taakeaway on Saturday (planned) but forgoit taht Sunday is my monthly dinner meeting at fantastic pizza restaurant. I was fairly sensible having a small pizza and gelati. I need to push my exercise this week. I dont expect to put on wieght per say, but I want a loss not just to break even. Life can be tricky.

yesterday was a horrid day for me- ate too much food and did too little exercise. Oh well today is a new day and I have only one option and thats to keep moving forwards.

Am off shopping today so will be buying lots of healthy foods

Doing well so far today, eating really well and tried to get some exercise in- I say try as had so much to do when I put Eric down so by the time I started on the strider I managed 5min before he woke up- but at least cleaning the house is some sort of exercise.
I saw my doctor today and she noticed I have lost weight since our last appointment which was about 3 months ago- made me feel good :) she is happy with my progress but told me I need to get back into my walking, seeing as she is a professional I better do as I'm told lol. So on Monday I will start walking every day- I say Monday as I will be leaving early tomorrow morning to go to toowoomba then sunday morning I wont have Eric so will sleep in- might go for a run a bit later in the morning and have a great workout but wont get up early for a walk and thats theonly time I like to walk, will happily go for a run at 8am but walking needs to be over with by 7am!
I am not confidant about the next weight in seeing as I have had a few bad days and dont think a few good ones will compleatly make up for it. I cant see myself gaining weight but very much doubt there will be a loss. The following week however I do expect a loss!

I hope everyone else who is part of this challange is doing well. It can be hard to stay motivated but blogging helps with that, we can all support each other.

Just got back from my walk/run - I did the 8min walk to the park then instead of just walking around the track I actually ran maybe 3/4 of it! Thats more then I usually do, then I did the 8min walk home. All up I was gone for 35min- pretty good considering it used to take me up to 55min to follow the same route! It is so much easier though doing it without a pram to push, just help my water bottle and off I went. I feel so great now, nice and fresh for my day.

Will be weighing in tomorrow morning and for once I am excited about it- I am expecting about 500g gone- more would be great but it has not all been great this week

800gm is agood loss after all. I can see you've been going through a few mental struggles but you've stuck at it. I bet it felt good that your doctor noticed your weightloss. Good on you.

I went on a spree of drinking cuppa soups. I love the msg but then its pointless weighing as I retain extreme levels of fluid. It will take a while to get it all out my system. Now I'm thinking, maybe this is my way of sabotaging. The soup doesn't put weight on as it comes off shortly after, but sets up an excuse not to weigh. Then that means I can be slack on my diet and not be accounatable. I've done my physio exrcises but not much exercise otherwise and had a few extra tibbits. I will weigh on Thursday and see what happened but I am afraid it wont be good. Meanwhile I'll squeeze a bit of extra exercise in while I'm feeling guilty but cant do too much as my back is sore. :(

I have been doing well this week- would have liked to do more exercise but its not easy when I have to pack up to move. Did a good workout today and half of one the other day so i have done somthing, will also do one tomorrow.

Eating has been pretty good, I decided to just double check that I am making the right choices and getting enough calories in my day so jumped onto calorieking.com.au and entered all my info, had come about 100cal short so will start having my jarrah hot choc at night. I dont usually count calories but just check every so often to make sure I am still on track- I generally eat the same things each day so there really is no point counting daily.

Tomorrow is my last chance to get some more weight off before weigh in day on Monday, I think I will have a good result, maybe not over 1kg but a good result all the same.

How are you going fireball? Have you stopped eating all those soups? generally soup is not a bad food choice as long as you chose healthy ones.

It sounds like you're doing a good job. Like you, I usually stick to a faily set meals so dont need to calorie count, but I let it creep up and next thing I've put on weight. New weight - 114.5kg. I've been a dip stick, again - although some of it would be just fluid. I have been on the soup again + chocolates. :( I love msg and go through these phases... It's bad because packet soup has high salt content but little nutritional benefit. Not good for blood pressure.

Yippee I found my pedometer that I bought ages ago but it went missing. My steps are so low. I put it on mid morning. I went for 1/2 hour walk tonight which added ~ 1400 steps. I've only done 2500. Even if I had it on all day it's unlikely I would have done 3,000. It is recommended to do 10,000 so I need to get serious about my exercise. We often get home after dark and my husband usually won't walk with me but lately he's agreed to come (he's admitted he's worried about his waistline) so that's making it easier.

Ok I will get sensible on my food again and wear my pedometer to measure a baseline of the amount of exercise I usually undertake. This will be a good week. Good luck with your wiegh in. :)

One good thing - I have put weight on, but when I do that usually I am embarrassed. I don't tell anyone.... and I keep eating. Now, I am trying to understand what I am doing, why I am doing it and to change my behaviour. I am accountable. I am determined to do it this year!

Late last night I found i had a large swelling by my ankle. Went to the doctor and found I have Achilles Tendonitos. Missed my own doctor (she is on leave and a sports doctor) The doctor basically said it would be due to my excess weight as I couldn't think of anything I had done that would cause it. I looked it up on the internet and it said, out of condition athletes often get it, so that will be my excuse. Afterwards I remembered we walked up Mt Schank and around the crater just after Xmas and that is a real push for me so that presumably flared it up. I have been getting pains in that area for ages, years, but now it is much worse. My ankles feel stiff and it's hard to walk. I'm lucky its not worse - I had it checked out before I snapped a tendon. Treatment? The docor said to do less exercise. I need to do more not less. Coincidentally I saw my (sport) physio today and he said I can keep up walking on level ground and gave me exercises to stretch my Achilles. (I chose a physio who is a "sport" physio as I wanted someone who would be used to people who want to push to keep doing things, not slow me down)

Checked my pedometer a while ago and I've done 7500 without trying - a pretty normal day so I'm not doing too bad considering I have this thing with my Achilles tendon going on.

My dear husband ordered pizza for dinner last night. I only had 2 pieces so I am proud of myself.

Hmm my latest weigh in, I am the same.
Now I'm back at work doing pretty normal amount of walking around, I find I'm doing close to 10000 steps a day, sometimes more. This is interesting, I suspected that may be the case although I feel like I cant be doing much as I have trouble keeping wieght off. What this tells me is that I really have to look at my diet. Doiong more exericse would be good but keeping a lid on my food intake is probably more the issue. I hope to have a loss this week...
