My new weigh in day is Wednesday coz thats when i started my new regime...so I'll report any changes Wed morning :-)
Wish me luck!!!
I stuck to shakes all weekend, I drank saturday night but I drank sugar free V with my vodka ...and I ate really healthy at dinner time. No hangover food on sunday, just shakes and then stir fry for dinner.
So far so good i think. But wednesday will b the test.

Ok, I weighed in today at 94.7kg...last wednesday I was 96.2kg...so thats a loss of 1.5kg. Cool! I have been invited out to a Presentation night as my husbands' best friends date, it is on March 21st...so i want to try and lose as much weight as I can by then.
I went for a walk last night and it felt really good, really exhilirating. I plan on going again tonight. I love daylight savings!
Have had a headache since the fires and it won't go away, even had a massage last night and that didn't help. Been popping pills all week with no effect. So not feeling good there, but I'm pushing on anyway.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Have we started a new thread that I don't know about? No-one has been posting on this much. I feel like i'm talking to myself.
I bought The Gabriel Method including CD online from seekbooks for a bargain price of $33 including postage..and I received it within 2 days of ordering! Absolutely awesome. I'm going to sit down tonight and start reading!

Doing well with shakes so far, have stuck to it for over a week now...longest ever! I usually only last 2 days lol.

I have been out walking for two nights in a row and loving it..i feel so motivated to keep going and i find myself wishing it was night time again so i can go for my walk! Can't wait for tonight's walk!

Hope everyone doing ok and let me know if theres a new thread i don't know bout thanks.

Congrats on your loss, WnD!

I don't think there's a new thread. For some reason this thread didn't appear in the 'view new posts' window for me yesterday so I didn't know you'd updated it.

I hope The Gabriel Method works for you. I absolutely love it. I've ordered the book online but I'm still waiting for mine. Hopefully it'll arrive soon. I'm still listening to the CD as I ripped it as an MP3 from the library copy. I find it really encourages me to eat more salad and fruit but re-reading the book helps to cement all of it in my thought processes.

Good luck for the coming week! You sound a lot more happy and positive in your last few posts. I'm glad you're feeling in a better place now!

cheers,
Ali

Oh, and I weighed myself today. 69.7kg. But TTOTM and the heat are making my fluid levels go nuts right now. As a result my daily weigh-ins are all over the shop. Hopefully it'll sort itself out by next weigh-in. Plus because of my hormones I just really, really want to eat chocolate and potato chips. I haven't had cravings like this in ages. This is why I need my Gabriel Method book ASAP!

Hi guys. So how is everyone? :D

Has been a bit quiet in here lately.....I have been here reading, but just havn't had the time to do many posts over the last coulpe of weeks.

WnD77, glad to hear you're getting back into it, and congrats on the loss :D Well done! Hope your headache is gone. I hate headaches so much! Maybe you could buy yourself a 'goal dress' for the presentation night you have been invited to, just to give you a bit more motivation :D

EWQ, I hope your book arrives soon! I've been having cravings for chocolate this week as well.......in fact I just had about 10 (yes 10  !) Cadb turkish delight small Easter eggs! I feel really bad now :( I have been really good with self control when it comes to chocolate over the past couple of months, I guess this is only one slip up and I just need to make sure it doesn't happen too often!

I wonder where Kg is hiding? We miss u!

Take care everyone

HI GIRLS! It's me KG, , I'm back!
sorry that I have been off the radar for a while...man this must be the week for problems for everyone. Have had some family probs that have been bringing me down lately and it's taken most of my energy. Parents...grhhh...anyways, on the plus side, being upset has made me lose my appetite somewhat, so am continuing to lose weight. (no i haven't weighed myself yet, but more ppl are commenting and some skirts are slipping down now so i know i am losing weight and can see it in the mirror), which is great.

It's funny too how when u begin to eat less, you do lose interest in pigging out (at least I have) and that's been a positive thing.
Anways, focussing more on my (own) family! - and taking kids for walk and visiting parks and keeping busy, which is keeping me fit as i'm doing at least 3 pram walks a week.

sorry to hear that wnd, ewq and star have not had the best week either, hope yr head-ache has gone wnd, nothing worse. how r the shakes going?

and ewq, r u still moving?? btw, thought the avatar cartoon looked a bit like you! am checking it out now and may do same.

star - how's the diet, dont worry about the chocs, I still have moments of weaknesses, esp at TTOM.

Let us know how you're all doing, hope to hear from warrior woman soon too.

i will give my weigh-in very soon.

hugs, kg xx

EvilWombatQueen wrote:The reason I changed my avatar was that I was just so sick of seeing my face every time I came on the forum! With the amount I post I was looking back at myself about ten times per thread. I may be self-obsessed, but there's a limit! So I changed my avatar to one I created at the Meez website. I tried to make the character look as much like me as possible, so I figure it's a good compromise between a photo and a non-representational avatar.

Thanks for letting me know about Meez EWQ. you do know a lot don't you! even my hubby's interested in it, and its all free so its fab. i put mine up (as close as poss to the way i look to)!

hiya girls,
wow, looks like i'm the first to post in today. well, can u believe i have not weighed myself for 2wks now!? i have hidden the scales way, way down under the middle of my bed so that I can't even reach it...but ppl are commenting that i look slimmer, clothes in size 14 fitting superb, my face definitely looks a lot slimmer and i'm feeling great! i am eating large healthy breakfasts (eggs on toast) and more red meat as my iron levels were at the BOTTOM end of low!! and i was feeling sooooooooooo very tired, but am taking iron supps and eating more iron-rich foods, but still managing to lose the weight. walking more does help.

hows everyone else doing? love yr new avatar too wnd, i think you've started a new trend there ewq.
and where are you starr?? have yo got yr wii-fit yet?
spose everyone's kinda stressed with more fires over in belgrave, it's not good new

hope everyone has a great eating week, write in and let us know how you're feeling and hope no-one's family is affected by the fires.

Hi everyone,

sorry meant to post in here yesterday, just ran out of time! Well I weighed in and am now 77.3kg, which is a loss of 400g :D I'm pretty happy with that as I usually struggle to lose much more than that a week.

Kg, glad to hear u are feeling and looking slimmer! :D I'm sure when you are ready to weigh yourself next yo will be pleasantly surprised :D

How is everyone else going? Hows the motivation in here?

I've been pretty good food wise, but have been a bit lazy in the exercise department  I'll have to try and increase it this week I think.

Stay healthy and happy guys :D

Congrats on the 400g loss, Starr. That's great work!

I'm glad you're feeling so well and your eating and exercise routine is working for you, KG. Sounds like putting the scales away was the right move to make! I'm glad you're enjoying Meez. I can't even remember how I stumbled upon that site. I don't really use it for socialising or making rooms or anything, I just use it for avatars. It certainly works well for that purpose!

I weighed in at 69.4kg yesterday. Not great as I was hoping to stay under 69, but not as bad as it could have been. I went off the Gabriel Method for the entire of last week, it seems. I just didn't have the money to constantly buy fresh fruit. Plus at TTOTM I just wanted to eat chips and chocolate, which I did on several evenings. And the weather's been quite warm which also wouldn't have helped for fluid retention. I didn't get a great deal of exercise done either because I stuffed my back up again moving boxes around. Above all I was cranky at not being able to easily get the book so it really put me off following the program.

This week will be better because my book arrived. I was very disappointed that it didn't come with the CD, even though it was advertised at the online bookshop as including CD. Apparently the way they're doing it now is that you get the book then you go to the website to download your MP3s. I hope it brings the price of the book down accordingly given that there are far fewer production costs in hosting MP3s than creating CDs! It all seems like a cheap-arse way to avoid giving out a quality product. It disappoints me because I've been extolling the virtues of this program and telling people to ignore the schuckster-like hype, and then they go and do something like this! I mean, there are still a few people out there without the internet. What are they supposed to do?

Still, it was working for me for a few weeks. So even though I'm deeply cynical about their marketing and production methods I really need to put that aside and get back with the program. Hopefully I'll be back under 69 for next weigh-in.

Hope everyone else is having a great week!

EWQ, I got my copy from a site called seekbooks.com.au and I got the proper copy with cd for only $33 and i received it 2 days after ordering, they sent it from Sydney i believe. So i'm really impressed with where i bought it from.

I am half way through reading it so far, so I haven't started the method yet, just reading first. I have been walking every night, except for Saturday and Sunday night. I went for a 45minute walk last night (which is twice around the block, the block is 2.5km long) and I felt like I could of done another round. Woot! I even ran up the bottom of the steep hill at the end of our street, i was rather impressed with that. I was a bit out of breath after the run but felt good all the same.
I weighed myself this morning and i'm really disappointed. I weighed in at 95.2kg...my weigh in day is wednesday though..so i guess i shouldn't stress too much but I don't know how i'm going to lose over 1kg in one day??? Last wednesday i weighed 94.7kg ... so why do i weigh 500g more?? I don't understand it. Maybe fluid? I don't know. I'm annoyed coz i've been eating well all week and been walking heaps. My body feels slimmer and clothes feel better and hubby is noticing change..so i guess i shouldnt stress, just keep doing what i'm doing and forget the scales a bit. I'll still weigh in tomorrow...lets see how it goes though eh!
I'm sure if i keep the walking up the way I have been, the weight will drop off soon enough. Mum is coming down for a few week visit next thursday, so she is going to babysit kids in the mornings so i can go for an extra walk each day, so two walks in one day should do me wonders!! woohoo, cant wait!

Look forward to hearing from some more of you soon. I love this thread.
