I've changed my official weigh-ins to Sundays. Just as well too. 70.0kg! That's a 1.2kg loss from that time the week before, and a 0.7kg loss since I joined this challenge on the 10th.

(Okay it was all fluid weight from TTOTM but DAMN I like it when the scales are kind!)

Once I get to 68kg I'm going to buy myself a new pair of jeans. I'd better start saving!

hey ewq, when you say fluid retention from ttotm... do you mean after ttotm you're still heavier?

i just finished and im hoping thats why i didn't gain or lose, i worked hard last week. man its so disheartening.

My fluid loss varies to be honest. Sometimes it falls off half way through TTOTM, other times it hangs around for nearly a week. If you had a sudden weight gain at the start of (or the week before) TTOTM and the scales are still the same the most likely reason is you're still holding onto that water. It'll come off in time. The only advice I can give to speeding it along would be to avoid eating too much salt and make sure you drink plenty of water. Ironically the body tends to retain water more if you're dehydrated, most likely because it worries that you are going to die from lack of fluid. If you drink lots of water you tend to shed water more easily. Good luck and don't panic! Keep soldiering on and you'll see results soon.

I have EXACTLY the same thing happen to me two weeks ago! I finally rediscovered my mojo, ate very healthy, cut out all high calorie foods, exercised more and BAM! I gained nearly a kilo.

At least I'm proof that the weight comes off just as quickly as it goes on!

TTOTM is a cruel trick that doesn't just make us gain fluid weight, it makes us crave high calorie food AND it makes us emotional so we can't deal with the resulting scale readings! It's a marvel than any of us stick to our weight loss journeys for more than a month really.

I've lost 4kg since I last weighed in, but 2.6kg since my first weigh in... I don't think I'm gonna quite make it to 95kg for Christmas, unless I have another couple of massive losses, so I think I'll change my goal to being under 100kg... gosh that would be so awesome! To be double digits again...
Goal for 2010: Be at most 99.9kg by 31st December 2010
