great challenge guys!
I am a whole hearted believer in only weighing once a week I think that any more than that can be very destructive and emotionally draining.
I used to weight myself several times a day and I think it contributed HEAPS to my negative feelings towards myself and it was not at all useful in measuring meaningful weight loss or gain. It took me a long time to realise that the daily fluctuations were not FAT but water, food, waste moving through my body.
I still think it is important to track your weightlosses, whether it is noticing your clothes feeling a little looser, feeling lighter on your feet, or measuring your dimensions and realising you have lost afew cms around your waist.
So I commend you for all for taking up this challenge and count me in for the next one!
I think weighing once a week, or fortnight or month gives you more motivation to do well too... because you wont want to disappoint yourself when the big day arrives just think about THAT when you think about devouring a whole pack of cookies hahahahahahahahaha

Congrats shalimar, must be a big effort to stop doing something that has become part of your routine. I hope your restraint is well rewarded next month :)

Thanks Julz, I hope so too, although I am really over the whole numbers thing at the moment a loss of 3 or so kilos won't be unwelcome

I seem to have joined you in this. I didn't weigh in last wed, which while technically was june encouraged me in thinking that leaving the scales alone was a good way (weigh) to go. I feel skinnier. and it seems to me I have less "love handles" to grab.

Go for it Amethyst :D , I'm loving it as it has given me a sence of freedom I suppose, I'm not so paranoid that the one extra square of choccie will appear on the scales the next day or whatever.

I think it has helped a bit towards me making healthier choices as I have been swapping my after lunch bikkies and jarrah for fruit, well except for today  and I have been loading up on a lot more veggies at tea time as well.

Heres to the next scale free week 8) .

I keep getting tempted to weigh myself, telling myself it's not a proper weigh in. So far I've resisted very well. Any one else with that trouble?

I have been tempted a couple of times but haven't given in.

I keep thinking about weighing this Saturday but I just keep telling myself by then I'll probably be full of hormonal fluid and so it won't be a true reading so therefore not worth it  .

I just went on a date wid my gf after 2 months of not seeing her. When she saw me 8 kilos lighter, she was astounded lol.

when we were at the restaurant, she kept staring at me wid disbelief lol....

and she was so darn happy!I was so happy!!! I feel great hun...i wanna reach somewhere near my goal weight by the end of september....i have my fingers crossed and i have kind of learnt to restrain myself from weighing myself 24 times each day lol...thanks to you :))

Wish me luck hun!! wish me luck!!!

Well done Ishti, it looks like it is all going your way. Good on you.

Okies, another weigh free Saturday is under way, next week is the day I get on them after 5 weeks. I'm not overly sure I want to though, I'm kind of enjoying the 'freedom' that comes with not having to weigh in :P .
