New Years Challenge! JOIN ME!

Hi guys!
I want to start a challenge.
Join me and let's do it together!!

Rules:
-Lose 1 kg per week MINIMUM!
-Be able to wear a bikini by New Year's day!
-Exercise at least 30mins a day
-Eat no more than 1400calories (try to stick to less than 1200 if possible)
-Join FITDAY (fitday.com) and keep proper track of what you eat, and what exercise you do. GREAT SITE!! (Record everryyy bite you eat)
-CONFESS our accomplishments and slip ups on here. I want us all to be accountable to each other. No secrets! If you ate a whole chocolate cake today- tell us! we will tell u off, and then help you get back on track. like what true friends are supposed to do.


My motivations:
-Beach body this summer (I am sick of being humiliated to go to the beach. Especially because my fiance is so lean)
-Reduce symptoms of PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and become more fertile
-Wear what I WANT to wear not what i HAVE to wear
-Feel great in my own skin, feel confident and gorgeous. There is nothing better than that feeling
-No more chafing when walking around in skirts!!!!

Start off by telling us your height and weight and measurements if you wish, or if you don't want to, just say how much you want to lose. You can write down what you eat each day if you wish. Any experience you want to share is very welcome.


My stats:
- Height: 174cm
- Weight: 86-90kgs (not sure because I am too terrified to step on a scale, maybe in a few days)
- Waist: 93cm
- Hips: 119cm
- Chest: 105cm
-Thigh: 70cm
- Bicep: 36.5cm
- Forearm: 29cm
- Neck: 37cm
- Calf: 42cm

My Goal:
-Size 12 by New Year (that is a loss of 13kgs, so to weigh around 73-77kgs)

So today was my first day!
I consumed 1304 calories

BREAKFAST- cereal (Sustain - Low GI)
LUNCH- tuna sushi roll and fruit salad
SNACKS- roasted almonds (20 pieces)
DINNER- chicken, vegetable, rice noodle stirfry (seasoning: oyster sauce, chilli sauce, soy sauce, chicken stock)
SUPPER- piece of burgen rye bread with a 95g can of tuna in olive oil.

WATER INTAKE: 1.5L (teas included)

I exercised vigorously for 30mins (was dripping in sweat - great exercise video)

I am pleased with today, Goal for tomorrow: MORE WATER! :)

BY THE WAYYY...
I have tried soooo many things to lose weight, none successful permenantly. I will lose a few kgs, but then I gain them all back and more once I stop the diet.

MY FAILED ATTEMPTS:
-Jenny Craig
-Lite N' Easy
-WeightWatchers
-Atkins diet (no carbs)
-Low GI diet
-Slimfast patches
-Meal replacement
-Proactol pills
-Countless herbal fixes
-Countless Gym memberships


Believe it or not each of these diets have made me gain weight! How: because they are temporary fixes that get your body used to something and then once you stop, your body gets so confused and overwhelmed and it can't handle the new amounts of food it is getting so it stores it as FAT! :evil:

I am hoping that I will now reach my goal and maintain it through better choices and a healthier lifestyle.

IT IS ALL IN THE MIND PEOPLE!!!!!! WILL-POWER!!!!!!!!

Good Luck Della. I will be watching carefully. I have a challenge going for Christmas ATM. I can relate to the list of failed diets. Dont think it was the diets fault it was me giving up
Need to get motivated.

hi della! just found this thread-may i join you here?? was in another challenge but that's drawing to an end soon ... i joined the forum in march and have been on this journey since then. arrrgh! so-start weight today is 79.0kgs. ultimate goal is 65kgs..goal for now is whatever i can manage. ! :)

It was my brithday a couple of days ago so I cheated a lil bit... not too much I spose.

I started taking Reductil yesterday...
my doctor prescribed it to me after I explained my story.
It is looking good so far. I haven't had that many side effects except for a weird jitteriness when I sleep.
I woke up this morning at 6am, after going to bed at 4am. My body just seemed to think that was enough hours to sleep.
And since 6am I have been sleeping on and off til 10:30 when I decided to get up.
Had wild dreams too..
I found I wasn't hungry at all yesterday, so hopefully that was due to the reductil kicking in.
I'll have a weigh in soon and see how I have gone.

I am happy to report that I weighed myself this morning and I weighed 86.9kg
so down 2.8kg
That is a great loss since I really only started properly 3 days ago.
I'm guessing it is mostly water weight tho.
But at least I expelled some of that, now time for the fat burn.

By the way, I have a fever and I have developed flu-like symptoms...
I'm afraid that it could be due to the reductil... so I didn't take my pill today..
I will wait til I am healthy again and start taking it once more, so that I can see if it makes me sick again.
That way I will know if it was the pill that was causing it.
