get running!

Hi! My name is angela. I currently weigh 70kgs
This is the largest I have every been and I have decided to take action
My challenge :
This week - run 5km 3 times this week
Next week - run 5km 4 times this week
Week 3 - run 5km 5 times this week
That ought to get things moving. I will report back on my progress with the weight loss and running!

Oh and of course I have bought myself some new running trainers so fingers crossed these help me go faster! I struggle mentally not physically with running but these next two weeks I am determined to be strong. It is time to break the barriers.

Good luck, I started running in June last year and love it, though need to be motivated when it comes to the treadmill :D

Thank you Jaded! May I ask if you have found it sucessful with weight loss?
i went for 5km run yesterday so I have 2 more to go for the week. :D

How are the shins after long runs like that? I find mine hurt after a break from running

Hi gordz - they are hurting a little bit but I have recently splashed out on NEW running shoes and this is helping I think

Unfortunately for me running makes me eat more and I tend to go for the starchy carbs so nope it hasn't helped me lose weight but I still enjoy it :D

I set out for a run today but found that none of my pants stay above my hips anymore... gordz needs to go shopping! *heads to ebay.com.au* haha.

So today is the end of week one. have you run 15km this week?

week 1 completed 15kms in the week! yeay me
week 2 - only completed 10km - very disapointed but I had to move house this week and didnt factor in what a big job that was ontop of working full time and trying to run 20kn :shock: :shock:
anyway this week will now be the goal of 20km
i can do it!

oh I am disapointed to add in here that I have lost my focus on running.
I started off very well for about a month then dropped the ball. And now it is gone again. I am off to a hypnotherapist to try and sort out the stop start stop start approach I have. I dont want to loose motivation anymore.
