Is there something else you could do maybe .. is there a pool nearby you could do something at?
I used to hate walking too but stuck with it and almost enjoy it now. I do 5km each day 4 or 5 days a week but I would hate every second of it if I didn't haev an ipod to distract me!

My friend is 37 weeks pregnant and the other day we walked 10.5km together. I was so amazed at her!!! I imagine I'd be couch bound at that stage haha :)

haven't checked in for a while - last weigh in on Friday I was 77.6kg, which is about a 2kg loss since the beginning of the month I think.

I've been mostly successful with my Shrink Yourself program (focusing on emotional eating) but the last couple of days have been more difficult, and I just had a blueberry bagel with butter and jam for breakfast  I think part of me just wants to let go of it a little bit and have some little indulgences, which I guess can be accomodated, but it means I have to go to a gym class today and have steamed vegies for lunch!

We all have meals that aren't quite so healthy, Kotobird :D I wouldn't worry about it. I had a little bowl of ice cream last night after dinner .. so what? If I did it every night it's a problem but once in a while it's fine. :D

Forgot about the heat, Shay! Hope it's cools down soon.
I live in western NSW where we have extreme summers and I'm worried that come summer I won't be able to go out walking and am considering getting a treadmill. Am not sure yet - will try and see how early morning walks go come closer to the time.

Hey all

Shay you have a re doing so well...I dont think there i anything wrong with taking a break...maybe just do down to the local air conditioned shopping center and so a couple of laps while window shopping??? I think you have taken good care of yourself for the last 37 weeks so maybe relax for a bit you are going to need all the energy you can get in a few weeks...

Well things are going well here 66.0 Kg so a loss of 500 grams this week. Only 500 grams away from my target however I am getting sick and AF is due in the next week so I dont think I will be hitting the goal until the 29th which was what I had hoped for :D that or I am going to gain and mis the goal all together...

So the non weight related 'goal' for this week is to avoid most if not all processed food...so I am trying to eat everything made from scratch with the exception of dip (which is all nasty free hummus) and some flat bread...normally I would make my own bread but I am too lazy this time around.

I am drinking coffee again  but have cut down...still I am breaking the rules...I will give it up for the last week.

I almost forgot to weigh in this morning, so only did it after brekkie, but at least there was a loss of another 1/2 a kilo. At this rate I am not going to make my month's target of 68 kilos, but I do not care, as long as I can get out of the 70's by the end of the month, I will be very happy, I miss the 60's!

I can feel that I am getting fitter & eating is not too bad, so I guess I am still on track. :)

Well, I am off for my little break today and my non-scale challenge for the month was to continue eating healthy while I'm away. I think it'll be okay .. I am finding that I'm enjoying eating well and as long as there is an option I'll be okay. :D Will weigh in when I get home.
Good luck everyone!!

Weight related - I pledge to lose at least 2 kg by the end of the month (I'm pretty sure it'll all be water loss but a little is better than nothing)

Non - weight related :
1) I pledge to eat healthy and stick to the diet my naturopath has put me on and eat my supplements everyday as well
2) I pledge to drink at least 2.25L of water a day
3) I pledge to drink no more than 2 coffees a day (preferably less but I'm a coffee addict and a barista -.-)
4) I pledge to eat one piece of fruit or half a cup of fruit a day (not allowed anymore on this diet)

Weighed-in at the naturopath today: I lost 2.4kg! So err.. that's my november pledge goal made.. err.. I suppose now I'll change it to maintaining the weight loss and maybe trying for another kg loss by the end of the month.. that would make it a 3.5kg loss by the end of the month..

I'm not going too bad for my non-weight related pledge, do forget my supplements couple times a week but its better than not having any at all.. sticking to the diet hasn't been an easy task and I've had a couple of slip ups but what I'm proud of is that I got back on the wagon on the same day of the slip up itself!

Drinking that much water.. well.. again its not too easy and some days I barely manage to drink that much water whereas on others I drink more than 3L!! too many toilet breaks though -.- 2 coffees a day pledge is also hard to keep but I'm going quite alright so far.. err.. well once or twice I kinda went up to 3 coffees *sigh* but i'm working on it.. the fruit thing i've been keeping up really really well.. missed one day only and that was all

Overall, i'm glad with how i'm going for my first week actually.. according to the results of a test taken by the naturopath today, 1.4kg of my weight loss this week is actually body fat! hoorah!!
