Hi Andie (and everyone else)!

How's everyone holding up over Easter? I'd love to join you all in this June challenge! My weight loss goals are similar to yours Andie :D After starting gym for over 2 months now, I've finally started to lose a little bit of weight!! Slow and steady I suppose. Though having said that, it's really hard to resist the chocs that people have been giving me and all the cakes  So hopefully I can muster up some self-control and not over-indulge

1 kilo down :) i think a steady rate of half a kilo a week will be good for me
i read how you stopped added sugar so i try that this week. i found that i dont crave as much, its great :D but i start studying again next week and always have something sweet to keep me going, so i just went out and bought a heap of fruit.
easter isnt a good season, hot cross buns and chocolate :O i told everyone i dont want chocolates this season, i know if i have ill eat it haha. everyones been giving me plants for my garden, its going to be overflowing in a couple of days haha

any tips for cutting down on sugar i would love to hear! i switched to weet-bix and fruit for breakfast, also started eating sugar free jam. cant believe i never notic it before

happy easter everyone

hey all!

hope it's not too late to join the challenge! I'm new on the forum, and could really do with a bit of competition and support to keep going. I think a 2 month challenge is the perfect start for me. My goal is to lose 7kg by that time. A bit ambitious, I know, but I've always been one to aim high! My starting weight is 81.3 kg and my goal weight (by Feb next year) is 58kg.

I'm following the "slow carb" diet from "the 4 hour body" by Tim Ferriss. My aim this week is to just get the eating right - exercise can come later.

I'll check in again to see how you're all doing!
Consistency is the key.

never too late to join fit_av - the more the merrier :D good luck with your goals for june!

How is everyone else going? I was steadily losing and have hit a little stand still for the start of this week, but I also have had a couple days of average foods as I had a big night out followed by multiple eating out events that were both delightful and unavoidable - I didnt put on any weight overall but have not lost since then - but as I have no intention of being a total hermit to stick to my rather strict diet I am happy with my bad weekend

Hope I'm not too late but I would love to join this challenge!! I really need to get myself into gear and stop dreaming and start doing something about it and not going up like earlier this year!!!

My starting weight is: 89.4kg
My goal by the 1st of July is: 79.4kg, a loss of 10kg.

Am I kidding myself to lose 10kg in 2 months!? I am just so determined to get back into the 70's like I use to be!!!

Also, if anyone wants to be weight loss buddies so we can check in on each others progress etc. I'd love to hear from you!!! All the best to everyone for this challenge, we can do it!!

Let's stop dreaming and start doing!!

Hey Shelly! Welcome to the challenge and good luck with your goals!
I don't think 10 is too crazy an amt to aim for, but certainly will be tough! I tend to think like a kg a week and then aim for a little less as I know I will struggle to average that EVERY week... If i meet my goal early then all the better! Still, aim high and even if 10 turns out to be too much in that amt of time you will still be able to be very proud of the amt you have acheived!
The festivities over here have continued, although for the most part I have managed to eat minimal really bad foods and have lots of my normal meals still (aiming for super healthy ones where I can so I feel i can indulge more when I am out socialising :) ) - cannot say the same about my alcohol consumption  but accompanied by much dancing and I am still losing a bit week to week
71.2 today, so lost 6.8 overall
hope you are all going well this week!!!

ganymede - 1.7kg in a wk is awesome!!! I wish I was pulling numbers like that :)

how is our june challenge group going??

I have a question for peeps - do you guys set mini goals on the scale with dates? or just with a weight? - I tend to set mine with just a weight and a reward but this is largely because I dont know how long to expect weight loss to take  - would love to hear what you guys do: how far away you set mini goals, how you time them or what sort of things you have planned for when you reach them :D

I have hit 70.5kg this morning which puts me 500gs away from my first reward!! (gold class movie  cant wait!)

Hey bjam! Thanks very much, I was pretty stoked with that result! Lost another 1.35kg this week too! :D

And my goals are below. I started out with this month's and next month's being quite steep goals as I always tend to lose more in the first weeks and would really like to be 80kg by the end of June. Then after that I made it 2-3kg a month. Reasonable enough to be achieved and if I lose more, well that's just a bonus! I think I am going to wait til I'm at least hitting somewhere in the 70's before I reward myself with something. I'm not sure what I'd like to do yet for that! Maybe get my nails done or stop of at amazing breakfast place in Kingscliff and treat myself to pancakes... :P

Ok so my first weigh in for June

SW 91.4kg
CW 88.4kg
- 3kg!
June GW 87kg

I think I will need to change my June goal weight. When I started this month I was coming straight off a majorly bad food weekend so I think my starting weight was a lot of the fat and salt I was hanging on to from it.

New June GW - 85kg
