Oh forgot to mention, it was thanks to a 2 kg loss for this week that I managed to break through the 90's.

Last week's weight 90.7 kg
Loss for the week 2 kg
Current weight 88.7 kg

Wow!!! It feels soooooooooooooooooooo good to be in the 80's.
(can you tell I'm excited???)

Can't complain at nearly 13 Kgs during the challenge but last 2 weeks have been a huge disappointment and I am going to take time to reflect on my current issues with my schedule..

Thanks Kim,

Yep "onward and (hopefully) downward" that's my mantra these days!

Hey JP,

You've done a fantastic job; 12.8 kg is nothing to sneeze at, you should be VERY VERY proud of yourself especially considering (like me) you had a holiday thrown in there and we all know what holidays can do to our food choices during these times???!!!

Thanks Kim,

Though JP has blitzed (no pun intended?? ) my efforts 12.8 kg to my measley 5.7 kg, I'm still grinning from ear to ear because a year ago if someone had told me I'd spend 12 weeks on a roller coaster of good, bad and (some downright ugly) days, holidaying and nursing a sprained ankle the size of the goodyear blimp but still lose 5.7 kg I'd have told them they were nuts!!!

JP has done an amazing job, and I know that if he stops beating himself up about the past couple of weeks, he'll do it again (and even moreso) with gusto!!! You listening JP???

Yes I am listening to you DDD, you are right I am beating myself up about this but believe me I think I will come out of it stronger.. I am maybe adding a bit of 'realism' into my expectations which isn't necessarily a bad thing.. I'm far from finished, in fact being start of a new month and new quarter is like having a clean slate all over and that is the way I am going to tackle it..

Thanks JP, yes I am proud of myself, though I feel guilty for it because if you only knew how "undisciplined" I've been at time you'd understand my reluctance to shout my efforts from the rooftops!

I am very VERY VERY proud of your efforts, and those of people like Shelley, who in her darkest hours is soldiering on regardless. You guys are awesome!!!

I am grateful to Kim, for his continued contributions, and the support of everyone here.

Without you, I'd still be plodding along, but with you, I'm CONQUERING mountains (of fat)!! So THANK YOU xx

Fully caught up with this thread now and ashamed to admit I had not even read a few of the posts during the past wekk.. I now feel even worse as both Shelley's and DDD's recent set backs completely dwarf mine.. It is a testiment to you both that you have achieved what you have this challenge and I am immensely proud of you both..

Shelley, I am sure you will find someone else in time who will treat you the way you deserve.. you come across as a very sincere and honest lady and I'm sure this guy really doesn't deserve you.. breaking up is always painful but take stock, learn by the experience and when the time is right I'm sure you will learn to trust all over again..

DDD, wow! it really hasn't been your best few months as it? the way you were treated at work really wasn't very nice or professional *can I ask what you actually do?* I am sure you will be finding something else soon enough and hopefully you'll feel a lot more wanted in your new position.

I'm lucky to be in a job that I believe is fairly stable, my own personal circumstances are such that I need quite a bit of time off during the year.. I don't feel especially comfortable talking about it on an open forum though in a more private medium I would have no problem discussing my circumstances.. they are a bit more longer term than your two current woes but have certainly settled down the past year or so.. I can't say either that they have had a baring on my weight loss decision making or recent 'poor' performance and suffice to say I am proud of the way you have both tackled your past few weeks setbacks with humanity whilst also keeping your eye on the ball weight wise.. I wish you both the very best for the future..

She is certainly an incredible lady our Shelley, I'd have been a blubbering mess I'm sure of it.

I'm just an administrator JP, nothing to rave about. I've been working in large educational institutions mostly universities for the past decade, and this recent stint was at a private Registered Training Organisation (RTO) a very small company with only a handful of "closely connected (to the boss)" staff. And after this I've been thinking of going back into my old profession as a youth counsellor (I'd rather work with foolish youth, than bitter and twisted old fools!!!)

Always happy to chat JP, feel free to PM anytime if you ever want to communicate offline. I'm a good listener (believe it or not)

Thanks Diva, I too work in an office (CFO) and have a number of ladies reporting to me.. I know how extremely censored they can be to each other.. luckily I get on with them all and don't get involved in their squabbles much and certainly dont take sides

Am sure you will sort yourself out work wise soon, regards..

06/01: 92 Kg
13/01: 92 Kg
20/01: 92 Kg
29/01: 91 Kg (2 days late)
03/02: 92 Kg
11/02: 92 Kg (1 day late)
17/02: 90 Kg
27/02: 92 Kg (3 days late)
06/03: 92 Kg (4 days late)
10/03: 92 Kg
17/03: 92 Kg
27/03: 92 Kg (3 days late)
31/03: 92 Kg

Well, at least I'm consistent. :-)

I suspect that if I hadn't the Challenge in the back of my mind my weight would have risen. I've been under a fair amount of stress this year and tended to forget about limiting my food intake. So I'd have a few days of good eating habits, then I'd have a day in which I'd unravel and blow it all away. However, these failures didn't increase my weight, they just removed any gains I'd made.
