Sometimes our bodies need to play a bit of catch up specially when we have been making muscle. I'm not surprised by the result as I was suspecting that you really pushed your exercise hard. Nest week I'm sure you will be posting a fabulous number. But hey - what you did this week isn't a shabby number at all. It is a good solid result and continues the downward progression you are making. :D

If you did the work and can look yourself honestly in the mirror that you ate and exercised right then relax and wait for the result to come down the track. 8)

One of my biggest regrets about my weight loss is that I didn't take any measurements while doing it. Sometimes the scales don't tell the full story. I've got muscles now and no belly but I can't really nail down when that transformation happened. It would have been great (and very motivating) to have measured the success as well as weighing it. The only guide I had in the end was that I had to put new holes in my belt every few weeks until I had to break down and buy a smaller belt. The other indication was my pants falling down all the time - especially my bathers!

Good work JP!

I'm honest enough to tell it as it is warts and all so yeah I've detailed the lot and I really can't think it was food intake as by and large it was my usual albeit the LnE portions on quite a few nights which tells it's own story..

I'm sure I will continue the downward trend again I just thought after stagnating for a while it would be a bigger loss and especially as the loss I did get was all last w/e with the last 4/5 days being a 100g gain.. It just perplexed me and especially after all that exercise but yeah I know I'm on the right track so no great shakes..

Today I have walked for 90 mins, maybe I slightly over ate today as I had a 12" Subway for lunch then a larger portion of stir fry than I probably should but anyway it's done now, will be going to the gym in the morning and putting in a couple of sessions a day exercising over the w/e so see where I sit on Monday..

Well done CB, but maybe a minor tweak of those changes would help to kick things into the 80s????

Marc...change it back to how it was when you started to move again! But I think maybe JP could be on the right track. It may be just a case of consolidation. Keep on top of it and if it doesn't shift then it is the time to see what else you can do. Have you thought of increasing your exercise?

JP...good to see you moving along. I do think that you should see good results in the next few days - so long as you don't continue eating 12" Subs (surely 6" is enough?) and chasing it down with other food.

Yayyyyyy!!! Finally a good loss for the week.......I've managed to lose 1.1kg :D and although I didn't break through the 82's am sooooooo happy about being in them and out of the 83's (which felt like I'd been in them for an eternity!)

Just have to make sure I behave at my son's dinner this evening, and who knows, I may break through the 82s?!!! That'll be good incentive not to order dessert!!!

Well done Diva, that's a great loss especially at the stage you are now.. Low 80s..

Kim, yeah I know the 12" should have been enough! yesterday wasn't the best either once Thai was factored in but I did resist the beers..

Thanks Tink,
That's very kind of you xx :D
My son's turning 32 today, which is much older than your boy who (from memory of another post) turns 21 on Thursday?
But then, it's not surprising, I'm guessing I'm a lot older than you too!

Awwww Tink, I think you've just become my best friend!! Love you to bits, girlfriend! xx :D
Nahhhh.....I'm 51 years old, and I started my new weight loss journey (much like Kim) just before my 50th birthday.
Only regret, wish I had of done it years ago. But you know, as I keep saying (like a broken record, sorry) but in order to be successful you just HAVE TO get into the right MINDSET. If you're head isn't in it, your willpower (which inevitably) wane and you'll buckle but if you're attitude/frame of mind is set, it will hold your determination and push you through any (momentary) lapses to temptations.

your doing so well GF,
that's like I knew there wasn't any use starting my challenge until my head was in the right spot,
but im feeling like its happening because of the support from this place..

just having people that understand what im on about is so much help...

people that don't have weight problems listen but they don't understand, but we all know what each other is saying and we all know the battles..
