Holiday Challenge - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly..

Postby JP1 » Mon Apr 21, 2014 10:44 am

Well, I'm 3 days in.. loads of beers, let's get that out of the way, straight off.. as for eating, been pretty good at meal times, eating twice a day.. Had a few chips last night with a lovely steak dinner.. As for extras well I will fess up to a small box of Pringles on the plane, a handful of cashew nuts and a small packet of fruit sweets.. managed to go for an hour walk yesterday and done a bit of swimming.. going for brekkie soon then another hour or so walk and relaxing day.. No doubt a few more quiet beers later on.. Obviously haven't weighed myself but let off a bit of steam first few days, will quieten down quite a bit from now I reckon :|

Thanks for keeping us posted JP.

It will be really interesting when you do weigh in. Sounds like a lot of exercise is in the wings for you when you get back to it!

BTW Great title for your post...were you Clint Eastwood or one of the other two guys who got shot down?

Oh I'm definitely Clint Eastwood

So anyway more long walks and eaten healthily incl plenty of fruit though last nights meal portion was way too much.. Don't think, in fact l know I have not partaken in any naughtiest or inbetweenies but remember when I said it was probably going to 'quieten' down on the beer drinking front, well it didn't  but was particularly proud of myself last night when this huge, delicious looking pizza appeared and I resisted even one piece.. 8)

What's the Dirty Harry quote?..."A legend in his own mind".

Still waiting for that weigh in. My guess is that you will be working it furiously to lessen the blow! 8)
Until then we will wait to see if it is Good, Bad...or Ugly!

Did you have fun? Or were you full of angst and guilt?

Still away until next w/e mate and the most apt Dirty Harry quote would have to be, "do you feel lucky punk?" 8)

Have fun...but try to figure how it lessen the bad choices and how to work good choices into this situation.

This is the life skill that you have to get a handle on to have permanent success in your maintenance stage. 8)

All over but the flight home, am Premium Flat bed so as you can see it is tough at the top ;)

Sitting it Starbucks eating a vegetarian wrap, sipping water so hey not all bad hey?

Been far too many minor and maybe not so discretions and it will be an interesting first weigh in tomorrow morning when I'm back but Monday will be more reflective I think, wish me luck for that  but I'm still a handsome chappie 8) and weight doesn't appear to have gone to my face like it does at circa 100 but we will see! :?:

OK couldn't resist hopping on the scales this afternoon after freshening myself with a nap and a shower and the damage is 3.6 Kg increase whilst on holiday for a return to duty weigh in of 99.2 Kgs and I got to say I am ecstatic! have had similar increases after only a weekend away in the past so smiles all round on planet JP..

Just to wrap up, portion control was maybe my biggest sin on the second half of the trip, had about 3 roast dinners with all the trimmings and a couple of large steaks eating just about everything put in front of me..

Can't remember or don't want to ;) some of the rest but as I said half way through it NEVER felt like a train wreck so just the fact I defended 100 Kgs, I have to be extremely happy but now to get down to my low again ASAP..

It is all about managing to keep a healthy lifestyle in the real world...
and you goaled yourself the task of keeping below 100 kilos.

You have achieved those two things without too great mishap. Sure you could have made different choices but in the end you were in control and took responsibility for those decisions. 8)

Well done! :D

Verdict?...THE GOOD!
