Gah, yeah, ok, I'm here too...

Reckon the hardest time will be December when I will for sure want to go on a big fat holiday. It will be post competitions (doing 16 dances in the next 2 months) and last time I spiralled down the chocolate and red frog hole. I'll also have 2 weeks off work, and my mind and body is just so craving to do NOTHING already...so I better do the ground work to cater for the fat of the big fat holiday!!

To be realistic, I'd just really like to see 60.0kg...and banish this persistent 61.1kg!!! Given my next two costumes would look better without my slight softness (the back on one of them is simply a piece of satin swiped across my bum, with elastic straps to keep the front bit up - and softness always shows when elastic in force), I will have to keep that image in my head to spur me on. Once upon a few months back, I also thought a nice reward for reaching 60.0kg would be a day spa indulgence. My husband has recently suggested we do this together as a Christmas present - so it would be good for me to combine the treat with the reward and actually reach that elusive figure!

First goal is next week- one week of eating for nutrition rather than pleasure :)

Tams I like you plan. You've set a realistic number and should help you achieve all that you want.
Very much like the day spa idea.
Rewards and pleasure don't have to be food based!
Try thinking up more of the same so that Christmas isn't a food fest but a fun fest! 8)

Challenge SW = 74.4kg
Challenge SW = 68.0kg

I'm aiming a little higher this challenge, only 400g higher (nothing major)!!
But regardless, as I've added to my signature as a constant reminder, ANYTHING beyond 4.5kg which will take me into the 60's and I'll be stoked!! :D

Hey Kim, no problem, always happy to help out a fellow forumite in need!!

One day Josie there will be near the quote button a little box with an asterisk in the upper left corner with the word 'EDIT' written on it. On that day all your dreams will come true...just not today!

I like your new challenge goal. Stretching yourself to go better and reaching for a new decade in weight! 8)

My challenge goal
Not only am I looking forward to breaking into the 60's but at 68kg (exactly) I will no longer be "obese" but (oh joy) "overweight" Woo hoo!!!
For sooooooooo long I have been "morbidly obese" to have gotten to plain "obese" was a fantastic thing, but will pale in comparison to being just "overweight"!!! Yayyyy can't wait!!! :D

These are important markers to break through because they are the labels which society (and ourselves) put on us and define us.
Once we pass through these things to the other side it does give a great sense of achievement and empowerment. 8)
You have forgotten to mention the most wonderful label of them all - NORMAL! :D
That is the greatest of them all! 8) :D

Heya, how do the challenges work? You set a GW and number of weeks to achieve it in? Or is it 12 weeks?

Thanks for explaining to the newbie

Sorry I should have said, it's generally 12 weeks but you can break it down into smaller challenges or just set your own start/end times. It's really just about challenging yourself to be lighter than when you started; so when the challenge ends isn't nearly as important as it is to set your sights on achieving your goals!!
