On Tuesday 21st, my official weigh-in day, I was 89 kilos.

For the past week my weight has been hovering between 88 and 89, slowly going down, on average 500 grams/week. This is due to keeping to a "no bread or biscuits" line, and reducing snacking to the odd bit of fruit or vegetable. Once a week I'll indulge in some cheese and biscuits provided for free at my local social club, but offset that by reducing my meals that day.

This is the third challenge. The past two saw my weight stay stable. This time I'm "getting real" and pushing aside all the excuses for eating too much and too wrong.
Striving to improve in every way possible.

This is it isn't it Marc?...all about facing up to the reality of the situation and doing the stuff you know that you should be doing.

There is a real bracket creep that occurs in food consumption if you aren't constantly on the watch for it. This is the one area that really challenges me all the time. I say to myself..."eat less and then you don't have to exercise as much" but without fail I let the snacks get away from me thus I find myself exercising as hard as ever to keep it all under control.

You know what to do - and how to do it...let this challenge be the catalyst for you to take back the ground! 8)

Well done CB, you're doing nice, cracked the 90kg mark and are well on your way to goal!!!

"Getting real" generally hits us whilst in the home-stretch (or as Kim aptly refers to it "the pointy end") of the journey!! The hardest part is realising that although you've come a long way, there's still a way to go, and hence there's no room for complacency!!! You have to push through, and not let up on your new improvement lifestyle changes (ie. eating healthy, moving more) otherwise you risk (at first) stabilizing and then possibly creeping up (if you get too lapse)!!

I'm still a way off, and I've been exercising my butt off trying to shift that last 10-15kg and boy or boy I must say, IT'S TOUGH!!!

Nevertheless PERSERVERANCE!!! For us both CB, we'll get there, you'll see!!! :D

Seriously, I've killed myself this week, I've been to the gym EVERYDAY since Sunday, working out minimum 1.5 hrs each time....I've earned ONE sweet (a mini kit kat, a curly wurly......anything)!!!
