It always amazes me how you men tend too never put anything away and always seem too have so much trouble finding anything, you would think that u guys do enough exercise just looking for stuff...love it as the same thing happens here,Shane can never find anything and when ever he says too me,Tash where is this or that I now say
"oh its where your last left it"
im sick of picking up his stuff so now I don't do anything with it and now hes having more trouble than ever finding anything hahhahhha,
good luck in finding your keys maybe you need too get a few more sets made up,or maybe just keep the key in the lock hahhhahha

I'm on Shane's side.
We put it where we put it...it's you gals that then put it away - where we can't find it. This is the essential difference...we put it down and you put it away. That is why we can't find it.
No luck finding the key. However the lock isn't the one with the six keys.
I found those keys (with the lock) which is fortunate as it is a rather special magical lock and keys.
They only unlock the lock if you know the special secret to do so.
I did manage to get the lock off my bike without having to break it.
I'll have to get another lock for it (when I do...then the key will turn up! ).

You would have been proud of me today. Even though I was looking everywhere for the key not once did I accuse my wife of moving them (which I'm pretty sure she did...that her thing...but its no use asking her anyway - she never knows where she has put things).

Day 15 (8/5/15): 67.4kg

Did the 60 minutes in the morning and ate properly during the day.

Posted another loss (0.2kg)...which is good.
I looked at my weight loss book to see where that weight was in those 51 days that took me to get to goal - and to see how far ahead I was to last time.
I was surprised to note that in that period I only hit the 67's twice.
The first was 17 days after I first hit 69.7kg weighing in at 67.7kg and the seconded (at 67.2kg) was the day before I reached goal.
I've been in the 67's a number of times in maintenance but not as much as I would have liked.
So it will be interesting to see if I can hold it as I try to travel forwards.

Did another 90 minutes on the exercise bike in the evening.
Will do another 60 minutes in the morning.
Will ride my bike to the bike shop tomorrow and get another bike lock.
Also see if I can get some lights for the bike so I can be safer riding at night (which is loads of fun). 8)

Josie...love to know how ya doing kid!

Day 16 (9/5/15): 67.4kg

Same as yesterday...bit disappointing as I had hoped I'll post a further loss.
Guess my body needed to catch up.

Did the 60 minutes in the morning.
Ate and snacked as usual.
Did the 90 minutes on the exercise bike in the evening.

Ended up driving to the shopping centre and getting another bike lock from there.
Put on my new bell and bike pump that I've bought a while back for the bike.
Put the key on the velcro strap on the bike pump and placed the spare key on top of the bookshelf nearest to garage door.
In the afternoon I rode to the local bike shop to see about lights for the bike.

The shop wasn't open...the hours sign said "Saturday: closed - riding my bike" and for Sunday: "closed - still riding my bike".
So it is a good thing that I got the lock elsewhere.
However it wasn't a wasted journey.
It was close to the local markets and I went and got something for my Mum there.

Also went on a bike ride in the evening. Really enjoying the night rides. :D

Day 17 (10/5/15): 67.5kg

Woke up late and wasn't able to put in the 60 minutes on the exercise bike.
Only managed 30 minutes before having to rush off to church.
Pity it worked out that way...if I was able to do those extra 30 minutes I would have posted a loss instead of a 0.1kg gain.
That's life - and that is how it worked out.

Ate moderately and snacking was controlled.
Did the usual 90 minutes on the exercise bike in the evening.
Hope to do 60 minutes in the morning plus the 30 minutes that I last time.

Let that read "Hope to do 60 minutes plus the 30 minutes that I missed last time."
Guess I missed "missed"!

At least I did miss doing those extra 30 minutes... 8)

Day 18 (11/5/15): 67.0kg

Did 90 minutes in the morning.
Food intake and snacking was normal.
Did another 90 minutes in the evening.

I would like to break into the 66's at next weigh in but I think that my body wants to bounce back from 67kg.
Will see how it washes out at weigh in. If it looks near then I'll put in some extra effort to hold the ground.

Day 19 (12/5/15): 67.5kg

Did 60 minutes in the morning on the exercise bike.
Food intake was good.
Snacking probably could have been better.
Did another 90 minutes in the evening.

Well I said that I thought that my body wanted to bounce back - boy did it ever!
Bounced right back to the number of the day before.
Sometimes the body will do what the body will do...you just have to ride it out and push back at the right time.
See what I can do tomorrow...time to get tough. :)

Day 20 (13/5/15): 67.7kg

Did the 60 minutes on the exercise bike in the morning.
Ate and snacked moderately.
Did 105 minutes on the exercise bike in the evening.

Another gain...0.2kg.
Not surprising as I think that slight cold I had has moved to the gut.
At the risk of sounding gross - my bowel movements ain't pretty at the moment.
At the prayer meeting this evening my stomach could clearly be heard above the voices on more than one occasion.
After our meeting someone asked if I hadn't eaten...it was more of the case of the stomach rejecting dinner!

Cycled to the prayer and elders meeting at church...and back.
Really enjoyed the rides. :D

On the upside; this is the tenth straight day that I've posted a weight in the 67's.
That's something that I've never done before in maintenance.

I believe that I should be able to post a loss at next weigh in.
So stay tuned and see if I'm right or just dreaming.

Day 21 (14/5/15): 67.2kg

Did the 60 minutes on the exercise bike again in the morning.
Ate well and snacked moderately.
Did another 105 minutes on the exercise bike in the evening.

A 0.5kg loss this time.
I put in a good effort to make sure that the rot stopped.
If all goes well I hope to back it up at next weigh in.

I'm beginning to think that perhaps the best way to get to goal is do what the explorers did to reach the South Pole or Edmund Hillary did to get to the summit of Everest. Set up a serious of base camps along the way...as soon as you get within striking distance - then do a make or break effort to get there. Worked well for Hillary...not so well for Scott of the Antarctic.
I think it was much what I ended up doing when I first hit goal. I think that it may be the way to go again.

Serious?...seriously that should be "series" not "serious".
That is what happens when you type tired, quickly and very late at night.

Day 22 (15/5/15): 67.2kg

Did the 60 minutes on the exercise bike again in the morning.
My eating and snacking during the day was okay.
Did 120 minutes on the exercise bike in the evening.

Same weight as the day before.
I was sure that I was going to post a loss but unfortunately my dodgy bowels had other plans.
The dead weigh being held prisoner by my bowels was the difference between "moving" forward or stay the same.

Here's a tip that I picked up years ago watching the Tour de France on SBS - ride your exercise bike while watching the race!
Nothing like watching these super fit cyclists doing there stuff to inspire you to pick up your pace and go harder.
The Giro d'Italia is on at the moment. I've been racing against those dudes...and haven't won a race yet!
The latest day leg was 264km long with speeds between 30 to 40km plus...not to mention the intense sprint finish at the end.
Can you image sprinting flat out to the finish line after riding for more than six hours?
And this is just one day in a three week event. 8)
It certainly puts your meagre exercise bike efforts in perspective that's for sure.

Should be posting a loss at next weigh in - bowel or no bowel problems.

Day 23 (16/5/15): 66.3kg...goal reached.

Again did the 60 minutes in the morning on the exercise bike.

A 0.9kg loss (some of it a hold out from yesterday).
Finally made goal...taking 22 days to get there (Josie is right about the reckoning of the days).
Better than the original 51 days of my weight loss but it could have been much quicker.

I'll be posting a "reflections" post later which will explore what I learnt from this challenge.
It has been very informative and well worth the effort.
I hope my observations will prove to be helpful to you all out there. :)

How goes it for you Josie?
