Well as of today,

Starting weight 90.0kg

Goal weight 75kg

Do gym (airwalker thingy - 15mins; 7.5km/hr jog - 10mins) 4 times a week.

Eating less and only having little bits of junk!

If anyone knows that this will or won't help, please let me know.

15kg over the next 10 weeks or so is a pretty big ask. It's not impossible, but 8-10kg might be a more realistic goal?

You might want to throw some weight training in at your gym sessions and a couple of extra walks or walk/runs during the week, too. Even just 20 mins around the block will be better than doing no exercise at all.

hi milkyway, i meant that i want to lose 15kg overall, didn't realise how that would come across.
i also walk to the gym which is about 5mins each way so i guess total of 35mins a day?
i've asked a friend to give me some weight training exercises to do as i don't want to do the wrong thing and bulk up. just want to lengthen and tone.
every other afternoon in walk my kids to the park.
thanks for your advice.

Phew! Glad to hear your goal is 15kg overall, but not for the next 10 weeks :)

Don't worry about bulking up. Lots of girls worry about looking like Arnie if they start lifting weights, but seriously... it ain't gonna happen unless you're spending hours and hours at the gym doing nothing but lifting weights and on a very restrictive diet. But weights are an important part of weightloss.

Hey, your gym should have someone you can talk to about this. Most gyms offer like an introductory lesson with someone to sort of watch over you as you progress - they'll set you a routine and you've got to kind of build on it. It's not personal training - they don't watch over you the whole time you're there, but they can offer advice and make sure that you're doing the excersize right.

Ask at your gym fo rsomeone to give you advice on weight training to tone rather than to bulk up - that way you get excersizes that you can do with the equipment there.

The gym I"m using is the one at the RAAF Base where I work so I don't even know if we (as civilians) can ask the PT there for advice. I might have to find out from someone around here.

I just joined up on this site today so I'm a couple of weeks late here but better late than never.

So I now weigh 138kgs, goal weight in 10 weeks 118kgs.

Yes I realise this is 20kgs, and a lot to lose in a short time but I always lose a lot of weight in the first week of any diet I start, I know its mostly fluid but I am still expecting to lose this much. I am also breastfeeding my 14month old and planning on weaning him over the next month which should see a lot of fluid weigh gone. Having said that though I'd be happy with any loss, even if its only 5-10kgs.

oooh, snaps on breastfeeding til 14 months - I gave up at ten months with Pickle, and was pretty proud of that - but 14 months is great. Will he go straight to cup?
