Hi Kate, Kim and all,
It was full of driving. We drove up to QLD gold coast, sunshine coast and Bundaberg. The plan was to go all the way to Rockhampton and Cairns but as soon as we arrived at Bundaberg, there were cyclones warning and the weather was not too good with the rain and the strong gust. So I did not stay there for that long and did not get to go too far up North.
We spent some time in NSW Port Stephens, Port Macquairie, Nelson Bay. Also did a fair bit of short drive in Sydney south coast. Then a bit of slopping around which includes eating out often, getting up late. I actually enjoy the slopping around part the most. We enjoyed walking around parks and beaches, looking around, that was great. When I was in Queensland, we were anxious to reach the final destination and did too much driving in one day, we did not spend enough time to look for healthy food and we were eating whatever we can find. I put on weight very quickly and could barely fit in my pants. Luckily when we left the windy and rainy part of Queensland, we slowed down and could find some decent meals etc. I was trying very hard to have a not so out-of-control dinner as that was the last meal of the day before going to bed. Then when we get back to our place in Sydney, I was putting a lot of vegies and fruit in our meals to try to patch things up. So at the end of the holidays, my weight was just a touch below the weight at the beginning of the holiday. That was already good enough for me. Now I am on a dinner sandwich diet and I want to lose some decent weight.
Also I bought a sewing machine to alter jeans etc and I am trying to sew straight lines. Still playing.
I started the dinner sandwich diet for 2 days. There is good progress. I will keep you guys posted.
