I NEED YOUR HELP

Postby MEL6720 » Sun May 20, 2007 6:24 pm

hi, I have just started my wieght loss challenge.. My goal is to lose 10 kilos in the next 6 - 7 weeks. I am taking Xenical however exercise is also the key. I would like to have a buddy to take on this challenge with me. I believe that 10,000 steps a day is a good start. does anyone have any other ideas?????

Thanks
Mel

hey there mel :) welcome to the group. i dont know a lot about xenical but i wish you all the best for losing the weight. you should aim for 0.5-1.0kg each week. drink lots of water and get yourself moving and you should see the weight come off. sing out if you need anything!

hey welcome along and best of luck :) thats alot of weight to lose in a short time and it all comes down to energy out and energy in, with the right balance of meals and excercise youll lose the weight steadily :)
is xenical the one that stops u absorbing fat? if it is try not to eat fat at all, weve heard from other members here that it can make going to the toilet kind of disturbing :P

Thank you Kate and Jewles,
My average daily steps is about 2,000. I work fulltime in an office.

Xenical is the one that stops fat absorbtion and I am trying not to eat anything with fat, I have been on them a week and only lost .6kg.

Oh well, more walking and bike riding for me I think!

Good luck with your weightloss goals, Mel.

I am going the slowly slowly method myself - as much as I'd love to drop a big number in the next month, I'm just aiming for about 2-3kgs :)
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...

Hey Mel, it won't happen over night, but it will happen - patience and keep plodding along are the 2 keys to success with weightloss
Every day I am getting thinner and thinner.....

LOlly is right mel. you need to adapt your eating plan so that you are eating well in conjunction with exercising. keep persisting and dont weigh yourself every day.

u should aim to lose 0.5 - 1kg a week, and it can take your body a while to recognise it especially with losing fluid. alot of people on here weigh themselves weekly fortnightly or monthly as its very easy to lose hope if u do it daily :) hide those scales!

I know that's what I should aim ( .05 - 1kg per week) for but my husband is getting home from Iraq in 7 weeks and I have left it a bit late to look good for him. I have done 11700 steps today though!
