EEK!! Just realized that I am only 2 weeks away from my deadline to hit 52kg and I still have 3kg to lose!!!

I've been stagnating for ages around the 55-56kg mark, dropped to 54.5kg briefly after TTOTM, then kind of bounced back up. I've just been eating too much (balancing it with exercise, mind you, so I haven't really gained, just not lost).

So here I go - strict 1200 calorie per day diet :? not sure how I'll go, need to kick the willpower back into gear. If need be I'll just go for shortish rides (ie 30km or less) for the next two weeks, coz if I ride for any longer than that on limited calories I start to feel very faint.

First tri coming up, but I'm only doing the half one because I haven't really been training for my running and swimming.

So wish me luck guys - here's to a hungry two weeks!!

How exciting molli! I can't wait to hear about your first triathlon of the series :)

I told my hubby last night that I want a tri bike (even sent him a link) for my birthday/christmas present (my birthday is just before Chrissy).

Looks like pretty good bang for your buck :)

Any thoughts or recommendations?

Hey Milkyway - that bike looks great!! That's a really good price. It'll probably be slightly heavier than the higher priced bikes (i.e. maybe a kilo) due to the heavier material, but that'll prob make it more durable too - great bike!! If you've been training on a mountain bike, you're gonna fly on that baby!! Go for it!

And Kate - yeah, feeling faint is my biggest worry when I'm exercising, so I'll be careful - I always take food with me on the bike anyway, in case I have a sudden drop in energy.

As for keeping yas updated - definitely!!

Bingeing is such a curse, I hope you overcome it, and if you figure out how, let me know too!

Yeah that price does look good. I'm sure everywhere else I've looked, even for second hand ones, they've been around $3k - $4k unless the one I'm looking at is just for the frame and have to pay for the wheels, seat, breaks etc. I'll see what Santa brings... :)

Unfortunately there is no way I am going to reach my goal by next week - have had a pretty big last week or so. My brother got married on Sat, and I was bridesmaid, so have been busy helping out with the wedding preps and everything. So no exercise, and eating more than I should. So I'm still around 55kg. So I'm going to extend my goal by a few weeks.

But I'll get there, it'll just take me a bit longer.
