does weight goals really work?

Postby Famerequeen » Fri Jul 06, 2007 7:53 pm

I'm so depressed and frustrated that I've hit my brick wall...my intial losing a kilo a week has come to an abrupt stop!

What does this mean? I have no more weight too lose? Cos I'm definately not at my ideal weight!

Or my muscle is affecting the scales...

And instead of motivating myself too try harder...I binge, I give up on the gym and I have probably cancelled all my hard work in the past two weeks...I hate myself and feel weak..but I don't know what more too do!

Help me!

sounds like you have just reached a plateau. try and mix things up a bit in either your food intake or your exercise. dont give up!

I agree with Kate. Time to mix up your exercise regime. Maybe post your daily food diary as well. Have you seen the http://www.calorieking.com.au website? I'm just getting back into it myself after plateauing at more than my ideal weight :)

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Yeah, I will try from today.

I bought weight loss tablets today that are meant to not make me hungry..or as hungry..so hopefully that combined with me going to the gym will help.

Do you know of any quick and easy recipes for lunch? I work 5 days a week and sometimes only get about 15mins to eat lunch...makes it hard if I have soup or something..are carbs bad for me? Cos they seem to fill me up...

It's all about moderation. For a quick and easy lunch, I prepare rice in advance (a mix of brown rice and white rice) and take a little tin of flavoured tuna and mix them together and heat them up in the microwave. delish and quick. If you're not a rice fan, try some wholemeal pasta.

No no I love rice..even brown rice..but I don't eat fish. I heard it's so good for the brain with the omega 3 fats...but does it aid with weight loss?

I don't know about 'aiding' weight loss, but tuna is a great source of protein as well as the Omega 3s, both of which I need more of in my diet.
