OMG I just ate a mars bar!

Postby Groovychic » Sun Jan 29, 2006 1:55 pm

Yep thats gone and done it now!!!! My partner came home with a few choccies cos he went to that damn fire yet again for the night last night and we were meant to be going out to dinner!!! So he new I was annoyed about that. And so he bought choccy home for me......which was really lovely that he thought like that but damn it all. I put it in cupboard and did housework etc for an hour and I couldn't handle it anymore, I had to have it! So I have eaten it now. And I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I thought I was going to. Now I think I will go for a walk cos I feel so guilty.

Ooohh you poor thing... Ive been a bit 'naughty' this weekend too. But now you know that whether you are tempted or not you wont enjoy it. Next time maybe you should just open the packet and tip it in the bin.... then you really wont be tempted at all!
Good luck for the rest of the week and make sure you go for that walk :)

We do feel guilty don't we when we have things we shouldn't have and why is it that we really don't enjoy it that much either?

Don't worry Groovychic I'm sure with all the walking you do it the damage won't be too bad. :D

Not to worry groovychick, in the large scale of things 6 months down the road this moment will seem so trivial and you'll still get to your stunning goal.

But write a mini list of gifts that would please you, then place it on the fridge for next time your man decides to say sorry with a pressy.
ie:-
a couple of movie tickets
nail polish
breakfast in bed
a book of your choice
scented bubble bath
a bunch of flowers
a date to get a coffee
a new notebook
cooking you a fancy dinner
inviting your mother to stay for the weekend
massaging your aching feet

I like the trick about tipping it in the bin! And after exercising I didn't feel so bad about it. We have to allow ourselves a treat every now and then anyway I think. But I did feel really bad after I ate it.

That's ok - I ate a crunchie bar then some cake on Saturday!! It's like the Pringles advert - once you pop you can't stop...

Good idea Dolly - perhaps I should make a list for my OH too :-)

Cheers
