custard tart

Postby Butterfly_Dawn » Thu Feb 23, 2006 6:38 pm

Another work morning tea today  . They had all sorts of junk yummies. Including a custard tart. I resisted during morning tea, and only had grapes and orange quarters.

But then leftovers were left on the kitchen table for poeple to finish off. I resisted at lunch, but I went to get a bottle of water and it was still there looking at me so I had a little slice  .

Dammit.

Hi

Every so often we are going to eat something bad but I guess we just have to educate ourselves to know that this is allowed. If you know you have had something a bit higher in fat or calories - just exercise a little bit harder that day or week...

As I have been eating low fat and high fibre, I know that if I was to go the custard tart, my stomach would cramp about 10 mins later and I would be in the bathroom about 2 mins after that - that being the reaction really makes me stop and think about eating something higher in fat - do I really want to go through the painful cramps just for a little bit of pleasure for my tastebuds..

We have cakes once a month at work and each time I have managed to pull on the will power and not be tempted to have anything. What amuses me most is watching other collegues pig out and then 5 mintues later say they feel sick.

Next time - drink the bottle of water first and then decide if you still want some cake after that.
Kylie : )
