Protein usually stops the cravings for me. Try having a large ice coffee made with skim milk and no sweetner, it will probably fill that hunger gap until dinner time.

Hey Tegan

Sounds like you need a snack in between lunch and getting home, then you wouldn't be starving.

I know when I was working I needed to have a snack inbetween lunch (1-2pm)and getting home (6-7pm) otherwise I'd was starving and head straight for the cupboard.

It may be a lot harder for you to snack, in lectures and all, but could you snack on almonds or something like that that won't bring attention to you - you know a snack on the sly.

Maybe try changing what you have for lunch, add a protein to your salad and perhaps a piece of fruit, or something else to make it a larger meal, more filling and see if that helps.

Good luck,
Angel

Ummm....That's Jules, this is Tegan,

but anyway,

on the snacking, definitely a small snack can tite you over - an apple does wonders but isn't really good in a lecture theatre. I know you can't always find the time to snack while you're busy taking notes, but try having a little bag of mixed dried fruit and nuts that you can get in to easily and noiselessly to snack on when possible.

Im at uni also and what I tend to do is have a big breakfast so that will last me until I have a break to eat a piece of fruit. I buy a big chicken and salad roll (so its not sitting in my bag, getting all hot and squashed all morning) and by the afternoon munchies kick in I'll have a diet coke (that makes me bloat so I feel full til dinner) and/or some sultana/nuts or celery sticks/apple/rice crackers that will tide me over for the drive home til dinner.

Hope this gives you some ideas.... xox
