The booze pledge......broken

Postby shelbel » Fri Jan 11, 2008 11:22 pm

Ok, i pledged to myself that i wouldnt drink till Australia day, which is kinda a big deal in the west...well ok the pledge changed too i wouldnt drink more then 2 drinks in a go till australia day....and now the pledge is out the window! I told myself that i could have 2 bourbons on friday night as a treat, and we all know how 1-2 drinks can lead to 'just one more' followed by 'ok, just one more' then 'really this is the last one'! Well whoops it wasnt! crap i have to work tomorra! :D Looks like an extra exercise session for me over the weekend! LOL

When you're out and about with friends, when you've had 2 drinks I reckon it would take the willpower or steel to not go on!!!

I hope you had a great night, aren't too hungover today to exercise (keep those fluids up :P ) and get back on the pledge wagon :D

Sorry I am late on this post, but Ahhhh shelbel, you sound EXACTLY like me. I first pledged to only have 2 glasses of white wine or malibu mixed with soda water, only on Friday nights. Then it changed to 3 glasses of wine or malibu mixed with coke zero. Now its practically the entire bottle (only 4 and a bit glasses!) on Friday nights, but I am having that tonight and it's only Wednesday

I also love my wine or malibu and can't give up, but know in my head that if I did give it up my weight loss would be better. Gawd I gotta live!!! Best wishes to you.

Im hopeless with wine too, i can actually have just 2-3 glasses, but the size of the glass leaves something to be desired, being the largest one we have!!

Ive decided recently that its just something im not going to give up! I enjoy my drinks, i have tried to cut back where i can. Ive always got jewel at home now and im gonna try to find some low alco wine, less alcohol % mean less cals right????

You have to have a drink on a friday night, its like the rules! LOL And your right, you gotta live! I dont mind if it takes a little longer to get there because of it!

I would give up chocolate and snacky foods all week in lieu of wine or malibu on a friday night. I would much rather have a drink than dessert! And with 3 kids under 7, I NEEEED IT lolol.
