ok heres a question... might not be on this current diet but what indulges have you been truely horrified about in the past? I can and will probably think of loads when prompted but anyway I'll start.

on a trip to Tadkistan in 2000 we were treat like royalty everywhere we went. Literally we were served banquets of food everywhere we went and felt obliged to do our best! its all my favourite type of food too... barbecued cuts and meats, this lovely fluffy rice and breads you'd die for... if you've had Iranian foods or Lebanese or even Turkish you'll know the types..

anyway talk about bloated... one night I literally couldn't move... my belly was so full! just had to lie on the bed till it went down lols

as well lost count of the times I've had inpromptu business lunches... eaten about five courses lols... drunk to excess... forgotten to convey this info to the wife  and had to follow through by eating the meal she had slaved over for hours when I got home in the evening hehe

Forgive me father for i have sinned LOL

Before i started dieting, and ok maybe once or twice at the start too, my friend and i would go to sizzler for dinner. I would eat, and eat, and eat until we were so full it actually hurt to breathe! I feel sick at the thought of it now! Sizzler isnt even that great, its just the all you can eat thing!!

lols that all you can eat thing really is a rip off... I first encountered it at an all you can eat breakfast in Las Vegas in the early eighties... it truely was awful stuff and have never been a fan since

Wow, how long have we got? I think I'll start a list. I'll number it one to a hundred. Then I'll label it 'List A'... LOL

Just a couple of past dieting regrets:

- Eating a whole packet of vegan Tim Tams in one sitting. Just because something comes from the health food section doesn't mean it operates on a negative calorie basis!

- Ditto for family size packets of chips.

- Intending on only have two glasses of wine. Finishing the bottle a couple of hours later. (This shouldn't really be included as a 'past' sin either, I'm embarrassed to say!)

- Thinking that all vegan food is healthy and therefore can be eaten in abundance. Note to self: if a recipe involves an entire can of coconut cream it is no longer a health food!

- Eating way too much at every damn meal. I didn't eat until 'satisfied'. I didn't even eat until 'full'. No I went beyond the call of duty and stuffed myself until 'ow my stomach is about to rip itself apart at the seams'. Why? Just in case I got hungry again later. Brilliant huh? Apparently I thought I could eat one enormous meal and stave off hunger pangs forever rather than the rather more sensible approach of eating a small healthy snack when I got hungry again in a couple of hours.

- Eating constantly. It was like I had a mortal fear of hunger. And if I wasn't eating at any given moment I was planning what I'd eat during my next meal, the meal after that, or even dinner the next day. All of this grazing was on high calorie starchy carbs. I honestly didn't think just fruit or vegetables would fill me at all.

- Eating stupidly fast. I had no chance of actually realising I wasn't hungry any more because I was shovelling food into my gob as such lightning fast speeds. And I ate so quickly I didn't even enjoy tasting the food!

My weekly "girly nights" with my best friend Zoe - I'd stay over her place and we'd sit down to a HUGE dinner of chicken stirfry and then while watching TV we'd eat a bag of Maltesers, a bag of lollies, a huge bag of Doritos with salsa, a 1/4 of an apple pie or bavarian dessert each.. Sometimes we'd have cookies too.. All washed down with loads of Pepsi Max (hahah :P). And we'd have the leftover pie/bavarian for breakfast the next morning!!!
And this was a weekly occurence

haven't seen her for donkeys years... might check up on her

Spicy Moroccan... Tzatziki... Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream... Tangy Tomato& Red Pepper Salsa and Smokehouse BBQ... available in Woolies dunno about Coles but expect so..

Hahah isn't it funny.. I wasn't drinking Pepsi Max because I thought I was being "good" though, I'd been brought up on diet soft drink so it was just the norm for me. Bet the people on checkout at Coles when we bought our stash were having a giggle though :P

Sounds like you've made your girls night healthy, Shel :D How often do you have them??
