all day i have been trying extremely hard not to eat crap... but this evening my family got kfc for dinner and i had minestrone soup instead.... then my niece didn't finish her food so ate one of her nuggets and a handful of chips.... a whole days worth of dieting wasted in less than five minutes... arghhhh

Believe it or not, your day wasn't wasted. You actually learned strength throughout the rest of the day (not many of us can turn down the smell of KFC wafting through the house)
The more you practice being good for most of the day, you will shortly be able to complete the whole day with no caving in.

I think you did extremely well to only eat a handful of chips and one nugget. The rest of the day you ate well so that little blowup wont do too much damage. :)
