So there I was, just minding my own business having visited the local secondhand bookshop. It was lunchtime. There was a burger joint on the street corner.
I bet you can see where this is leading !
So I entered and checked their menu on the back wall above the deep fryers for their healthy menu option. The battered fish burger looked good, but I decided that I should go for a wrap instead of burger bun, like I get at Subway.
Fifteen minutes later I was the recipient of a full size wrap containing a battered hake as long as my forearm, a handful of soggy mayo-drenched lettuce and a couple of slices of cheese dripping everywhere.
I didn't expect something that could feed me for a week. It was absolutely decadent and surprisingly delicious. The best takeaway meal I've had in years.
I don't feel any guilt over this, but DID spend the next few days cutting back on kilojoules to cover the damage.
