Aww Maria, it is hard to eat right when you're rushing around and once you get to that hungry point, the mind isn't so rational.

Planning is the only thing that really helps with this I have found. Try to keep some long life snacks in your bag like dried fruit and nuts. You can get little packets from the supermarket already in their portion sizes or make up your own by buying a big bag and making into portions sizes with little snack bags. Fruit is another excellent option.

Some of the muesli bars are good value too Maria.

Don't beat yourself up too much mate, use it as a learning curve to be better prepared next time...

Thanks for the support - I was so mad with myself but as you quite rightly pointed out, I was un-prepared and ate what was easiest and yummiest LOL
But, I went out yesterday and purchased some nuts and raisins and will take a stash with me for next time.
I MUST settle down and lose this last 10 kilo's or else???

Cheers

Maria, be careful not to eat too many of those nuts.
they may be high on the nutrition scale but they also hold very high calories that can hamper a dieters weightloss
click here - Calories in Nuts
There's also more bulk in eating one dozen fresh grapes rather than eating them dried (12 sultanas)

Dolly's right be careful with the portions. That's why I buy the prepackaged ones as they are a set 40grams and the cals are perfect for a snack plus the fat is 'good' fats but you still wouldn't want to have more than the portion size.

So it pays to read the serving size and stick to it if buying bigger bags.

I will also have to go purchase some of these little snack packs. It definitely seems the better option to eating a doughnut :D

I get the ones made by sunbeam called fruit 'n' uts and get the cashew blend. Seriously sometimes theres only about 5 blimmin cashews in there but that's the whole point of sticking to the serving size I guess. :D
