Where's my willpower!!!????

Postby tiffanyp » Tue Jan 30, 2007 12:11 pm

Damn, got busy at work, popped home for lunch, no healthy bread so I ate two pieces of white bread with tuna and CHEESE  on them!
Then I woofed down a piece of apple tea cake that I made my kids last night! It was supposed to be for Amy's school lunches this week!!!!

Where has my willpower gone! Grabbed an apple on my way out and now feel fat and bloated!!!

Although, I did buy a white top from Target (just quickly!) which was on the clearance rack for wait for it.................................
$9.87!!! :P AND it was a size 12

Very happy about that!!!

Now, where has my wagon gone??? 'Cause I gotta get back on it!!!

That's the thing when you get rushed off your feet you can't think of the right things to eat. Planning and preparation help this but even so there are times when you just have what you have. Try to learn what you can from this and move on to a better choice for the next meal.

All the best. :D

I like the idea of the spag bol in the lettuce cup :) . Also if you don't want to eat pasta, I've tried using shredded cabbage, or steamed cauliflower (cut very finely), and that works really great as well. Trying the lettuce next - yum!

i also like the lettuce cup idea. another thing i do instead of pasta is julienne some carrots and steam them- sorta the texture of pasta without the carb content!

Actually girls and boys, I usually put lettuce, cucumber, avocado (just a bit), any garden salad ingredient, then put the sauce on top.
It is really yummy and I am eating the same meal as everyone else, just without the starchy pasta!!

Glad you liked my idea... I am amazed that none of you were doing it already!

I've actually used the lettuce cup idea for chow mein (without the rice). Just mince with grated carrot, been shoots, cabbage, corn and zucchini if wanted (and whatever other vegies you like), then add soy or tamari sauce (and a little water if you don't like the strong soy taste). Simmer, drain and scoop into lettuce cup.

Reminds me of those yummy 'lettuce delights' that you get at Chinese Restaurants.

Oops, forgot to mention the beef or veg stock for the above recipe.
Brown the mince, add the stock and water first, simmer until vegies are cooked, THEN add the sauce...
